This is so exciting!!
We are pleased to announce that renowned fibre artist Toshiko Horiuchi MacAdam will be creating a climbing structure for our new location in the Mendel building.... This creation will be hand dyed and crocheted, creating a beautiful intersection of art and play. We can't wait to climb in when our new museum opens in Spring of 2019! Learn more about the artist at netplayworks.com and follow our building progress at museumforkids.sk.ca!
Lathey Outdoor Pool is closed for the season due to mechanical problems sustained from heavy rainfall on Tuesday, August 8, 2017. Extensive flooding in the bas...ement where the mechanical equipment is located resulted in significant damage to the pumps. The City is working to assess the full extent of the damage and preparing a plan to fix all equipment so the pool will be ready to open for the 2018 season.
George Ward Outdoor Pool, originally scheduled to close on August 25, 2017, will remain open until August 31, 2017, to accommodate outdoor pool access on the east side of the river.
Continue to enjoy outdoor pools for the rest of the summer at the following locations:
George Ward – 1915 5th Street East
Mayfair – 1025 Avenue F North
Riversdale – 822 Avenue H South
For more information on hours of operation and admission rates, please visit saskatoon.ca/outdoorpools.

My complete list of all the fun things we did in Regina!
Heading out to Regina this summer?
Katie from Saskatoon Playground Review visited with her family - after reading her post, now I want to go too!
They have som...e pretty awesome places for kids. Check it out!
The RCMP Heritage Centre has a dress-up area, VR horse rides, a driving sim, and exhibits about crime solving. Totally worth a trip to Regina!
Planning a trip? The Royal Saskatchewan Museum in Regina is awesome!
The Saskatchewan Science Centre also has its own playground!
Have you been to the Saskatchewan Science Centre in Regina?
We were in Regina a couple of weeks ago, and Candy Cane Park is definitely worth a trip. Goose slide!
The playground in Exhibition Park is a great place to go when events in Prairieland Park or Diefenbaker Park get too crowded (I'm looking at you, Canada Day).
School is out, but reading should keep going all summer! Alice Turner Library has a great kids' area with puzzles and toys, and it's right across the street from Forest Park playground.
Tomorrow is National Aboriginal Day - how are you celebrating?
I'll be at the Walk For Reconciliation: Rock Your Roots. It should be a ton of fun, and it's family friendly. After the walk, there'll be a BBQ and entertainment including stories and colouring from Saskatoon Public Library!
