We have skied in top locations every year never have I experienced such a disappointment.
We called in several weeks ago to check ski school for our three yrs old and to also see what deals they had f...or lift tickets. We were told by a gentleman that we could come on the day of arrival and get her set for ski school no need to reserve it. Also that if we bought our lift tickets on Friday for sat/sun/mon/tues we would get a discount.
We arrived on Friday to find out ski school was fully booked for her age then lift tickets had no such discount unless you bought 48 hrs in advanced online only with no refunds or anything even for weather or something uncontrollable.
Customer service except for one person (Molly) was absolutely piss poor. When speaking with the lady with the wait list for ski school I’m told by her they can charge as much as they do because the results are by far the best! Mind you again we have been to several places our kids have all done ski schools and I have paid significantly lower for better results! So tell me how $200 or $250 (with equipment) a day makes sense when we have paid $450 for the week at Whistler or around the same in Winter Park, CO or let alone you’re own owner (Vail) is cheaper then you. So are you saying your school has better results then your owner to justify your price? Makes absolutely no sense.

My last problem is a significant safety issue!!!

The lift station staff on the easiest green trail where many ski school kids are and all learners are not only did we see several children get hurt by the lifts because they had fallen and the operator refused to stop them to all for the kids to get up they also left kids on them only stopping the lifts when people would shout to them several times. Our own fell her first time getting off even after asking the operator to slow it down as we were approaching which again they didn’t do. Not only did she fall but they allowed for two chairs to go over top of her before they bothered to stop it as I’m yelling for them to stop them as I’m holding her head down so she will not get hurt. That entire staff there has a complete disregard for safety and think your child getting nailed by a lift is a joke and just laugh it off. We did see one kid get basically knocked out by a chair and his brother stuck on it while the parents are yelling for them to stop the lifts other kid that was stuck on the chair was barely reachable by the time they stopped it.

For being so called a prestigious resort it is far from that.

- note I work in the hospitality industry and sports and entertainment and by all means this was no way to treat your customers let alone run the resort. Vail has done so well, I am really surprised how this has turned out.
We will never go back here and we do not recommend it to anyone!

We had some personal challenges this trip involving a huge bolt causing damage to our truck tire. So we arrived tired and grumpy from a 10 hour drive. The kindness and concern from the staff was above... and beyond ANY place we have ever stayed previously. Our room was quiet, beautiful and well equipped and the staff was very friendly and professional. We asked to check out other rooms for future stays the front desk immediately gave us a tour with tons of information, concierge was always available and accommodating. Ski instructor was funny and sweet. We loved it so much that we booked another trip while we were here because 5 days was not enough time to do all the actvities this area has to offer. My husband and I were concerned after reading the reviews and were even looking for something to justify the negativity but just kept falling more and more in love with this place and Stowe in general. Low score for parking staff. Just tried to go up the mountain. I was looking for an information center and ended up at the top. Rolled my window down to speak to the parking attendant and they proceed...ed to tell me I had to park there that there was no more parking further up. I told them I thought I was in the wrong place, they said "it doesnt matter there is no more parking" even when I tried to go back down they stopped me. There were three men telling me this. They could have at least told me where I could walk to get some information on the mountain. I might change my review when I actually get to snowboard out there. See More

Go to any other place in Vermont. They are all better.

Road to Stowe had an accident and we couldn’t get there. I tried to call in to see if we could get a refund or work out something. I was never to get a person on the phone. Ended up making it there by mid-day. Spent the rest of the day in lines. Took about 45 minutes to pick up our already purchased tickets.

I emailed about our experience. I wasn’t looking for anything free but there was No response. They don’t care about you.

What happens when your web content team, phone call center and on-site staff aren’t on the same page? A sad 3 year old that had been looking forward to ice skating and rock wall climbing for weeks. We... booked a trip here after speaking with your staff about the things we could do with our little one and found out today that those things were closed until next week. This is after calling this morning to confirm that the rock wall area was open (woman on phone confirmed this) and when we couldn’t find the area, a receptionist in the lobby pointed us in the correct direction didn’t mention that when we got there, it would be closed. Very disappointing for the entire family, we don’t intend on recommending that anyone with a family come here considering who knows what will be open when. See More

Really bad customer experience. I Can't believe that with all this potential on the east coast, and the price of 130$US (More expensive than bigger mountains on the west coast), there's only 2 people ...selling tickets and we had to make the biggest line up ever (+1h) . I'll come back when the customer service will be worth it. See More

Stowe used to be the go to MT. On East Coast but definitely not this weekend... Sat was decent some trails were well groomed but trails by gondola were ice chunks all the way and Sun is just sheet of... ice and won't give voucher for bad condition with group tix. Why not? See More

terrain and condition were great. after a 27 year hiatus it was everything i remembered as a kid. did wonderful things at the bottom of spruce.

however, now as a parent of a 5 and 7 year old, you...r ski school at $250 per day per kid is flat out robbery. no mid week discount. no multiple day discount. no multiple child discount. brutal. See More

I have to say I have skied all over the northeast and out west and have never had a WORSE experience. The line to get a ticket took 90 minutes. Why? No one manning the counter and also because they as...k you all these stupid pointless questions making it take at least 5-10 min PER PERSON to purchase one ticket which is already insanely overpriced. This process should take less than 30 seconds per customer. It is completely UNACCEPTABLE. After that the lift lines were so bad it took an hour to get up the lift to begin with. Stowe either cannot handle or is unwilling to be organized enough to handle a NORMAL WEEKEND VOLUME of skiers. When inquiring about a refund (before taking any actual runs when it became clear the lines were prohibitive) they told me I'd have to "speak to the manager who is really busy right now" and I could possibly transfer the tickets to a different day. No. I will NEVER ever be going back to Stowe. It's the worst run mountain in the East. Which is too bad because the terrain is actually good. I am usually easy to please, it does take much but in the future I will be absolutely avoiding Stowe and My husband and I will be going skiing mountains who actually value their customer. See More

130 single day price is among the worst in new england, coupled with a misrably poor experience waiting over 30 minutes in line to empty my pockets.

This is the second time here in the summer. We came last year for lacrosse tournament weekend only, spend all day of the fields and maybe a little pool time and then pack up and leave....this year we... added two days after the tournament and it was the best thing we ever did...checked in early asked if they had an upgrade available that wouldn't cost me a new mortgage and for a reasonable rate we got a one bedroom, kitchen with washer/dryer...makes it totally worth it to not have to eat out three meals a day when you are a party of 4. Being here during the week is very relaxing...this is a resort not a motel...there is a difference and if you haven't you should treat yourself and the people you love See More

Lack of terrain park! No half pipe beginner style jumps and no flow, sure the powder is great but that's lacking as well

My husband and I haven’t skiied the mountain since college and are here for our kids vacation week. Just wow. We certainly lucked out with great spring skiing conditions, but found the great culture... Stowe is renowned for is unchanged.
The kids love it, we fell back in love with it, and are planning our next trip.
Thanks especially to Sophie and Stacey at the ticket desk but to everyone on the mountain; THANK YOU for making our stay so special!!! Would give 10 stars if I could! 👍🏻😉😁⛷😎

Our morning guided hike with our guide, Tom, was amazing! He spoke with us ahead of time to plan a hike that would be appropriate for our skill level. It was a wonderful hike up the Haselton trail ful...l of nice conversation and great views. Tom was so knowledgeable about the mountain, trails, and Stowe in general, which makes us want to go back! Thanks for a great experience! See More

Some good motorcycle riding, but a very pricy town. I try not to spend money in the area, if you do, your paying about 70% more for any services. Just drive to the next town for your spending needs.
