The shared space with a much better eatery is the only reason I ever came across Strange Donuts, and at first I would get intrigued by the trendy names and descriptions of their latest bakes... but once I actually tried them, I regretted buying them and eventually stopped even visiting that counter. I know food is a matter of opinion so I wasn't going to review, but add subpar service, mediocre dones, and a toxic blight on your local community, and that deserves 1 star.

Fan of the cool concept from a young local business since the start. The done's were innovative/fun but expensive (as you can get much better in STL for cheaper). Most important of all though, I met the owners multiple times when I worked in Maplewood for a while- arrogant and rude to everyone not a young girl. I believe the distasteful, at the very least, Columbia media post might be a great indication of how the owners view other people in the world i.e. including their customers. I give this a two because, while not my favorite the actual product isn't terrible and attitudes can always be changed.

I bought a couple dozen of your donuts in the past and they were disappointing each time. Hurts and Harold's do it better. Also, your farewell post was as tasteless as your long johns. Hopefully you can walk away from this realizing that uplifting, supporting, and unifying a community is not just good business, it's the right thing to do. I'm not surprised you struggled with that kind of attitude.

I'm surprised that people are so bent out of shape about your farewell post (although I really shouldn't be). Chill out guys, it was a joke. However, the decline in enrollment is a fact and a small business like this shouldn't be attacked for stating that they're leaving for that reason. It sucks to see that there are so many sensitive whiners at my alma mater. I enjoyed stopping by on my trips back for football season, good donuts. Best of luck.

DEEELISHHHH!!! Went by yesterday to grab a couple donuts for Sunday breakfast and ended up with 8 different kinds and a milk! 😆 Strawberry margarita, gooey butter cake, Reese's Peanut butter with chocolate, chocolate filled with custard... all those and a lemon flavored one too (can't remember name) ... we loved each and every one of them! Definitely will be back! Plus the staff was so friendly as well! What a great place! Keep up the good work Strange Donuts! 😛👅🍩🥛

I love me some Strange Donuts!! Best sprinkles donut in town! All the other ones are great also. And when they have a special one with the rose water icing, like The Rosanna Barr, I'm in donut heaven.

These donuts are excellent and like nothing anywhere. Any negative recent review that are bad are simply from the 'children' in Columbia attempting to hurt this business for closing it's door and leaving them with no more Strange Donuts. They are demonstrating exactly how they've gone about destroying what was once an excellent city and University and is now nothing more than a daycare for future fascists. I'm ashamed to say that I graduated from that school now, but these donuts are good stuff

I have been a loyal customer for nearly 2 years and I am very disappointed. With the type of message your last post (now deleted) I see not a local business that supports the MU students. As a tiger I am saddened, as a person of color I am disgusted, as a doughnut lover I'm pissed off. If you ever come back to Como come back with respect.
