Great Soho venue. Intimate, great bar, well-tended with great shows. Cares about kids, too.

What a great venue! We saw a pop up show of "Bandstand" with a Q & A. The staff was very nice and helpful. Subculture is a hidden gem in the Village!

SubCulture, the physical space, the people who run it, and the roster of incredible artists who perform there are magical. It is unique in being able to providing the listener with an immediate and in...timate experience, yet it is not small. The sound, lighting and gestalt are of a much grander and deeper vision. If you are in NYC and considering a venue to see live music SubCulture needs to be at the top of your list. See More

It is a fun, funky space capable of accommodating a myriad of different genres and ensembles... I saw a modern chamber group of 20+ members perform- it was a tight fit on the stage, but it worked and ...sounded great. I could easily imagine jazz, big band, art music, and indie groups finding it to be a rewarding venue. My only complaint: the bar was way over priced, I know it's NY, but come on... After my admission I was tapped out and couldn't afford a beverage. See More

This is my favorite small venue in NYC! excellent sounds system, great lighting, versatile seating. And because it is underground, there are no distractions, like sirens or flashing lights from cars..., etc. Full bar service, reasonable prices, no cover charge or minimum. It's the perfect arrangement for success. If you are there just for the music, that's cool. If you want more, is available! See More

Loved it. Of course seeing the amazing musician Tigran was exhilarating. Sound great. Seats comfortable. You down the stairs to an unexpected large space. Great lighting on the musician and eclectic g...roup in the audience. Bring Tigran back! See More

A concert at subculture is like going to a jam session in your buddies garage. The bar is well stocked, the atmosphere is mellow and it's a great place to meet new people.

I attended Ramin Karimloo's show last night. Fabulous show at this wonderful new venue. Managed to score front row as we arrived very early, but all the seats in this intimate setting would be great. ...Very impressed by the space and the staff. I will definitely be going back! See More

A great place to see a concert. The seats were very comfortable. The bartenders were courteous and would even let you have a glass of water without charging you for it.

It is one of the best sounding, best looking, best designed Music Venues in NYC. It is rapidly becoming one of my favorite venues to hear music. The range of music playing there is great. Go!!!

One nice, cozy venue

In September, I saw Morgan James and her band perform her new album," Hunter" there at SubCulture. He was not going to give I had never been to Soho prior to the show, but the v...enue fits perfectly with the area.
It reminded me so much of a college venue where I first saw Bruce Springsteen in the late 70s.
