Happy Monday Frogstitchies!
You all know Miss Froggy - she’s been what might be grandly termed the ‘brand image’ of Frogstitch since I first drew her in the 1980s, and she reappeared, looking as young as ever, when I started this page two years ago.
One of the many thoughts I’ve been mulling since the event I did last week, is that maybe it’s time for Miss Froggy to retire?
I spend so long explaining to folk that Frogstitch was ME ....not some strange new stit...ch they’d never heard of! And I’m wondering whether this is the moment for a change of name, to simply be Sue Spence - Textile Artist.
I would really appreciate your feedback on the idea if you’ve a moment?
Meanwhile, I’m off out to the Garden Centre with my daughter...playtime!!
Have a good day 💚🐸💚
Having seen first hand Sue's ...lovely workmanshi
Visiting me today at Textiles East Fair was the lovely Liz Wells, who is a fellow member of Handcrafted Uniquely Community. Liz is a hugely talented artist (check out her work at EV Wells Art), and has been a supportive online friend for ages, so it was very special to meet her and her mum in person today.
Liz was the lucky winner of my ‘birthday present’ last week, and here she is holding her embroidered initial 💚🐸💚
Frogstitch had its very first public appearance today at Textiles East Fair.
The photo of me at my post was kindly taken by the lovely Liz of EV Wells Art (of whom more in next post 💚).
I’ll be there again tomorrow, from 10 till 4, at Swavesey College, Cambridgeshire 🐸
Caught the final rays of winter sunshine in the garden to capture sparkles on the organza in this hoop.
This is the latest new thing that will be coming with me tomorrow to Textiles East Fair 💙
I’d love to see you there if you live near Swavesey, Cambridgeshire 💚🐸💚
Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you have nice things to do 💚
Yesterday’s preparations for the fast-approaching Textiles East Fair included transforming this lovely vintage cloth I was given by Debbie George Painter last year. My logo was screen printed at a workshop with Fiona at Particle Press in May. I must say I’m rather pleased by their marriage!!
TODAY’S THE DAY !!! 🐸
I will be making the random selection of the lucky giftee of a Frogstitch Birthday present at TEATIME this evening, so if you’ve not yet seen my pinned post and chosen the initial you’d like embroidered on your very own ACEO, hurry along there now! .....and good luck!!
