2017 DRONE RACING WORLD CUP Final ranking & results
Neuenschwander Dario (SUI)...
Congrats to him for his astonishing result!
434 competitors placed from 37 countries (AUS, AUT, BEL, BLR, BUL, CHN, CRO, CZE, DEN, ESP, FRA, GBR, GER, HKG, HUN, INA, ITA, JPN, KOR, LAT, LTU, LUX, MKD, NED, NOR, POL, POR, RUS, SIN, SLO, SUI, SVK, SWE, THA,TPE, UKR, USA).
Note: It has not been possible to consider the 2017 Kyiv Rotor Club contest (UKR-1) for the World Cup placing because of a rainstorm during the competition which has damaged the server without finally no possibility to restore the data.
The total World Cup score for each participant is the sum of their best four contest results (numbers of points). For each participant, one contest result per organising country is considered for the World Cup placing (better number of points for any organising country in which he has scored in two contests).
Three juniors are placed in the top 5 which is impressive and shows the ability of the juniors to be very competitive and performant in Drone Racing.

Since our last post about BAZL regulations for FPV Racing caused a lot of comments (some very productive and some others not..) we have decided to develop a web-form where we can collect all your concerns about the regulation.
Check out http://srsa.airwolfdrones.ch and feel free to express your constructive comments related to the normative.
In order to keep organized all the comments a pdf document containing an unique ID for every sentence of the normative has ...been prepared, so when you'll insert your comment you can directly refer to a line. A link to the PDF file is available on the web-form page.
FAI has chosen Shenzhen, China to host the 1st FAI World Drone Racing Championships in the first half of November 2018.
The FAI Executive Board decided to award... the event to Shenzhen after a specially appointed committee evaluated the three qualifying bids from Albuquerque (USA), Barcelona (Spain) and Shenzhen (People's Republic of China). FAI President Frits Brink announced the decision at the 111th FAI General Conference in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Frits Brink said: “Congratulations to Shenzhen on its election to host the 1st FAI World Drone Racing Championships. I would like to thank Shenzhen, Albuquerque and Barcelona for participating in the bidding and evaluation process. In the end, the bid presented by our Chinese friends was the most convincing in terms of the scale and scope of their vision for the event. We are confident that they will organise an excellent competition.
