Tonight Eric George will celebrate the release of a new album at Smoke The Fire Gives: Eric George's Album & Book Release An album he recorded live to our trusty MCI 16 track 2" analog tape machine here at Tank Recording Studio. Ben Collette then mixed it down to 1/4" tape and Rob O'Dea mastered it for release.
It's packaged in a custom book featuring artwork, lyrics and chord sheets for each song. You can read more about this unique record and Eric's concept for it in the Burlington Free Press article below.

Two years ago this week we headed into the mountains of northern VT to a converted 200-year-old Barn, to make an album on 2" Tape with Chicago's Van Ghost, featuring members of Trey Anastasio Band, The Nth Power, Pimps of Joytime, Addison Groove / Matisyahu, North Mississippi Allstars

Back in February we recorded a 12-song appalachian folk album with Dana and Susan Robinson. Every track was recorded through our 16-track 2" tape machine before being Mixed by Colin McCaffrey and Mastered by Charlie Pilzer at Airshow Mastering.
