We were not victorious with claiming the City of Green Bay's 11th seat. But we still brought a bit of change and progress!
We visited hundreds and thousands of people across the west side. Over 90% of people were not familiar with our alderperson, and only 5% of all westside people both knew and preferred our alderperson. Only 5%.
~52% of people were concerned with the streets and their maintenance. ~26% of people were concerned with the amount of speeding and other crime. ~1...2% of people were concerned with development and business turnover. ~10% of people were concerned with being blocked by our alderperson or not being contacted back. ~6% of people were concerned with drainage. And only ~5% of people were concerned with taxes.
We still have so much to accomplish, and we cannot wait idly by for others to come along and bring change and progress. We have to hold our officials accountable. We have to challenge corruption. And we have to choose to create a greater community, a greater city, and a greater world.
We will be back. 🇺🇸
Irregardless of the outcome tomorrow, I have so much to be thankful for.
Thank you to all the volunteers who went door-to-door with me between December and March to discuss the issues.
Thank you to The Press Times, who provided candidate interviews with informational coverage.
Thank you to all the pollworkers and voters who turned out amid the coronavirus outbreak....
And thank you to all our supporters and contributors for funding our campaign to further the City of Green Bay.
The last year has been such an amazing opportunity to become closer with the people of the west side. I sincerely appreciate all the support. And I thank you all very much. 🇺🇸
