A home for body, mind, and spirit. Nothing fancy, but everything good. Quirky, eclectic, perhaps eccentric, but truly a place of comfort, grace, love, friendship, family, growth, and participation.

Mah Tovu Mah Tovu ohalecha Ya'acov mishkenotecha Y'Israel
Reason we sing this in shul
To remind us that after 2,000 love remembers.

108,000 of our ancestors camped around the wildernes and formed the top of ?
156,000 camped on one side and 157,000 camped on the other and formed the sides of ?
186,000 camped on one side and formed the bottom of ?

WHEN we pray to receive Yeshauh Elouhienu into the ark of His New Covenant remember to STAY in shul and continue to tithe our 10%. Find a New Covenant bible study then START one in the shul. Yeshuah El Elyon came that we might have shul and have it abundantly not to take us out but to add to our numbers. May G-d bless and keep the House of Israel

On Saturday evening, March 10, Temple Beth Israel of Highland Park and Eagle Rock, 5711 Monte Vista Street 90042, will host a gathering to memorialize and celebrate the life of Ken Ofgang, longtime TBI member. Doors will open at 5:45, and we will gather for a brief Maariv and Havdalah service at 6:15. The rest of the evening will be devoted to sharing memories of Ken—Temple member, attorney, journalist, Dodger fan, Kings fan, and, most especially, loyal, loving, and delightfu...l friend. Attendees are invited to share thoughts or stories about Ken. We request that remarks be kept to under three minutes in length to ensure that everyone has a chance to speak. After we support the family with the Mourner’s Kaddish, we will move into the Henry Leventon Social Hall for light refreshments and conversation.

Very meaningful memorial service last night for Ken Ofgang. A truly remarkable man and longtime TBI congregant. Here is his obit:

A memorial service was scheduled to take place last night at Temple Beth Israel of Highland Park and Eagle Rock. A funeral will be held in Florida, in conformity with Ofgang’s wishes.
