In TF South college news - seniors, information regarding the Golden Alumni Scholarship is available in the Main Office and the Guidance Office. All essays are due in the Guidance Office by Tuesday, March 6 by noon. If you are interested in attending South Suburban College in the fall; scholarships applications are now available. Congratulations to the robotics team on their 11th place finish out of 29 participants at the Regional First Tech Challenge competition this past Saturday. The team of Rigoberto Gutierrez, Jacob Holloman, Jocelyn Galvan, Tia Nicholson-Bourn, and Tavion Alexander won the Highest Scoring Rookie Team award. Great job robotics team!
TF North is ready for a Zombie Apocalypse! On February 12th the Literary Magazine held its 3rd annual "Zombie Apocalypse". Members of the Literary Magazine and their friends were transformed into zombies. Participating students watched the movie "Insidious" to kick off the event. After the movie students joined in a zombie survival game throughout the school. Approximately 120 students were on hand and it was another successful fun-filled event.
Congratulations to Senior Lajanice Montgomery. She was a top five finisher at the Bolingbrook Sectionals Saturday for girls bowling. For six games, she averaged 197 pins with high game scores of 203, 225 and 215. Lajanice will advance to compete at the state level for girls bowling this Friday. Way to Roll Lajanice!

Is there a singer inside you waiting to be released? On Friday there will be an open audition for any student interested in joining choir next year. At that time, you will be given information about choir, singing with the other students auditioning, and solo singing! Come prepared to sing any song of your choice, a song that best shows off your amazing talents! All are welcomed to come! Bring a friend! There are many fun things about choir! Get your Turnabout Tickets for the 2018 Turnabout Dance: "Dancing Through the Decades." Tickets will be sold starting Monday, February 12 through Wednesday February 21 at State and Madison during all lunch periods and after school. All forms are on the school website, please have them filled out before you come to purchase your ticket. Tickets are $15 for a singles and $30 for a couple. Do not forget Student Council will be offering a one day only reduced ticket on Monday, February 12. On this day and this day only single tickets will be $10 for a single and $20 for a couple.
