When we started this crazy podcast adventure we figured a release every two weeks would be enough to balance listener regularly and editing time constraints.
We were wrong.
It’s taking a lot more out of us to produce an episode every two weeks, especially with work commitments, real life etc. Getting in the way, so we have decided that for the next few episodes we’ll be releasing an episode every three weeks....
Will we go back to a release every two weeks? Possibly. Certainly never say never, but fir the time being (especially over Christmas and the new year) we’ll be on a three week cycle.
Thanks for listening to us ramble on about films, and don’t worry, we’re not going anywhere, just slowing things down for a while.

Home Movie Club Episode 14 - "Puny God"
Podcasters Assemble!! This time we look at 2012s Avengers Assemble, the first of the big league MCU team cross-overs, and the film that set the standard for all that followed. But is it any good, and have we just all played too much of the Lego Avengers game to be subjective?
In a film with multiple headline stars, and many back-stories (in the form of 6 previous MCU movies), does this all hold together or does it just become a confusi...ng mess?
We've got a sinking feeling about this as the the good ship HMC faces down something worse than a rogue iceberg.
Yes, it's James Cameron's 1997 mega-hit, Titanic.
But do we agree that this is one of the greatest romantic stories ever told, or does it leave us as cold as the Mid-Atlantic Ocean?...
(Also, this was a first for the podcast crew in that this was the first film that made one of our team actually rage-quit the film, before reluctantly coming back to it, out of a sense of duty to the podcast.)
The idea of a podcast that looks at all the really successful films is a great one, but does mean I have to suffer through watching things like Titanic and Ghost, both of which are coming soon...
Kong! Kong! Kong! Kong!
Yep, in this episode we have been watching the highest grossing movie of 1933, King Kong. But is this a Great Ape, or does this movie just make a monkey out of all of us?
Although we promised, in the last episode, that we were going to be looking at Peter Pan next (tomorrow) but due to an unfortunate series of events, we have had to abandon that episode for now.
SOOooooo... Next time we have the original King Kong. A film that brought out a mixture of extreme joy and extreme confusion from different members of the Podcast crew...
Home Movie Club Episode 11 - "They're taking the hobbits to Isengard!"
This time we look at 2002's top grossing movie, Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. A movie that is so long that it nearly broke the podcast. BUT not so long as to not have multiple confusing problems for anyone who had not seen the first movie in a while.
The follow-up episode (#11), looking at The Two Towers will be released next Friday.
Yes, we know it's a week late, but illness has struck down our brave editor, David, so the delay is unavoidable.
The following episode, #12, will be then the week after that, bringing us back to our usual twice monthly schedule....
Thanks for listening!

Previously NOT on Home Movie Club 11a - The Fellowship of the Ring
Lord of the Rings - Fellowship of the Ring. The first film in the trilogy never made the list, but the Two Towers did, so here's a brief rundown on what happens in the first story.
Genuinely sorry to say that tomorrow’s episode will not be the usual episode release. We should have been releasing the episode looking at The Two Towers, but it’s not yet ready to release.
When we started this we figured that a release every two weeks would give us plenty of time to get episodes recorded and edited, but that never took into account illness during the busiest time of the year at work. So tomorrow we will release the “Previously NOT on” for The Fellowship of t...he Ring.
The Two Towers episode will come out next week, with the episode after that coming out the week later, on the 7th of October.
Home Movie Club Episode 10 - "Release the Kraken"
This time we step back to 2006 for Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Man's Chest, staring Johnny Depp. The first 'Pirates' film didn't make the list so we have also released a mini-episode covering that film. This though, is the second film in a seemingly never ending series of pirate movies. But, did we all jump for joy at the thought of a second pirate adventure, or just jump into shark-infested water to escape? All will be revealed in this episode of Home Movie Club.
Previously NOT on Home Movie Club 10a - The Curse of the Black Pearl
Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean - The Curse of the Black Pearl. The first film in this seemingly never ending series of films never made the list, but the second film did, so here's a brief rundown on what happens in the first story.
Avast!! The next episode is released on Friday. We're looking at Pirates of the Caribbean 2. But fear not, if you haven't seen the first one, or just haven't seen it in a while, then we've got you covered, with a bonus episode looking at Pirates 1 released at 4pm today.
