I went to this venue on 3/23/2017 for a show I was super excited to see for the first time. I was in line getting my tix scanned when the door person told me th...at the Troubadour doesn't allow its patrons to chew gum inside the venue and to please dispose of it. I was like alright. I was asked to show what was in my bag like must venues do, so I complied, then the door person stuck his hand in my bag and took out my pack of gum and throw it away. Um NO!!!!! No one has the right to just go in my bag and take things out. He could have asked and I would have given it to him. I asked what was the reason for this, my request went unanswered. We were then ushered inside the venue and guess what, there were others inside who were chewing gum. (I have pictures) I still ask why was my bag searched and then items removed without my consent when clearly this is not the norm. I don't think I will be paying to see another show at this venue. The band I saw was amazing but the way I was treated was horrible. I will tell this horrible story to everyone I talk with about the Troubadour. See More

This was my very first visit to The Troubadour, which is odd because I've grown up in San Diego. This is an amazing venue with so much history. The acoustics we...re just perfect. The staff and bar tenders were helpful and friendly, too. I'm just so happy that I had the privilege of seeing Reeve Carney and O'Neill Hudson perform. What's even more special is that this was a Carney family affair: Zane Carney joined his sister on stage for a rendition of "Champagne Supernova" by Oasis, and Zane then joined Reeve for an extended version of "Testify" that was mind blowing. Reeve's, Paris', and Zane's parents were there to celebrate their awesomely talented children. This is a memory I'll never forget. See More

I asked the Security guy in front where there was parking and he guided us to the back alley and let us park in a private spot.(I guess he felt my birthday vibe...s). Then while we were in line he came and pulled us out and guided us to the front of the line, gave us bracelets and seated us in the reserved balcony section. Front row seating. WHAT???!!! See More

Nothing like the vibe of this iconic location that has history, and wood walls for great sound! If you come in hungry - it's OK cause they have some down home b...ar food like burgers, dogs, and a killer grilled cheese! They will even add a slice of tomato for you if you ask nicely! The bar tender chicks are so nice -- you wonder if they come from another state? If you need to sit down for a show you best head upstairs REALLY fast as all the seats fill up and there are a few tables behind the bar for handicapped persons. It's a great place and the tickets are still reasonable... well at least for the show we saw. If you have not been to the classic "Troubadour" ... make it happen as soon as you can. Life is too short to put off this necessity! See More

If you get there early, you'll have to stand in line before the doors open. It's worth it if you want to sit down because there is not much sitting space upsta...irs. The main floor is standing room only. The sound is excellent!! The staff are very courteous. Not long lines at the upstairs bar. I would definitely go again and recommend to go if you get the chance!! See More

Went for the first time last Saturday for The California Honeydrops, and I will be back! Don't know how I've missed this place in the 23 years I've been in SoC...al. I knew the history, but being there brought it all home. Intimate, rustic, reasonably priced drinks, never much of a wait for either bar or restroom even though it was sold out. Had the hummus plate for $9 and barely finished it. Staff was incredibly friendly. I parked in the lot across the street with no problem. The show was awesome. Basically a perfect Saturday night, and I can't wait to do it again! See More

Great venue if you want to get to know the band. The staff is quick, professional, and courteous. Beer is cold and refilled without having to ask. Restroom si...tuation is excellent. This is the kind of place you go to enjoy specific live music with new and old friends. My brother was performing and it's one of the most fun gigs I've ever been to. Your experience may vary, but I was impressed. See More

Had an awesome experience at the Troubadour for the Station Breaks & Jason Manns' record release party. Security was top notch and even went so far as to play v...alet for me so that my car was parked safely, and quite cost effectively. ;) I owe ya! The bartenders were extremely knowledgeable in mixology and the food was not only hot, but reasonably priced and tasted fantastic as did my Lynchburg lemonade. The venue itself is a piece of rock history and gives off an authentic Americana back to your roots vibe that suits the Station Breaks to a "T". The lighting was phenomenal, spawning some of the best rock n roll iconic images I've seen come from a Station Breaks venue to date, not to mention the killer sound. I hope the Station Breaks make it a point to play another show at the Troubadour in 2017! 5 stars all the way, thanks for a great night to the entire crew! See More

I went to a Raleigh Ritchie show 5/8/17. It was my first time there and the staff was very nice in helping me out with my questions. The venue is small but it made the experience more intimate. And the show was amazing!!!

Great small venue. Not really any bad views, but balcony is the best and there are benches there. Floor is standing room only. Drinks are not too expensive ($9-13) and they have greasy spoon type food

I've been coming to this venue for just 6 years and it keeps outstanding quality amongst the artists who play here, you can go many days in a row without a dull moment, audio & light crew , security , bar tenders quality personnel, preserving this venue's reputation

They hate locals. We responded 12 mins late and they said we weren't welcome anymore. It's all
Good. Concierge assoc of nola is aware. Not getting any recommendations from the three five star hotels in nola. Plenty of great spots. Rose. Ritz. Monte. Ace. Harrahs.

Fantastic time. I will be 70 in December but no one treated me differently from the cute young folks. As I was in 1971 when I used to go there! Sara Watkins is a fantastic singer, songwriter and musician.

Been there various times and I don't recall ever having an issue with tickets or will call.

I appreciate they do ticket, bag, and body check by single file, do...esn't screw over people waiting hours to be front of the line.

Yesterday was my first time dating to use their bathroom- tiny, but clean!

Keep it up Troubadour

What a great classic venue to see an artist! The bartender up front was super friendly and gave me an overview of the venue and history while I was there. The door personnel however leave a lot to be desired. Very surly and pretty sure they were stoned.

Great place to see some of your favorite bands, awesome layout and kind staff (bouncers included). Only downside is it's in Hollywood.... no issues with the dr...ive, just a plethora of self important douchebags. Christ, you can smoke weed on the streets these days, go the fuck outside with the other smokers. See More

Great intimate venue! But why reserve sitting?? I was in the show for 2 hours before the "reserved" sitting was used... in a small venue there should be no such thing, unless the performers have grandma coming to watch...

It's a great venue. Just saw New Found Glory there for their 20 year tour, all 3 nights. It was amazing. My favorite band, and would definitely recommend people to see bands there if they haven't already.
