The "Give Away Event" was a huge success thanks to the help of The Arc's dedicated participants, members, and community support. Thank you for helping The Arc further it's mission to enrich and empower the lives of adults with ID and DD. Recap of the successful Give Away Event yesterday, from 10am-2pm. 8am-Started pulling items onto the driveway, showing Broadway road all the wonderful gifts we had for FREE. 💝 Big thanks to Paul Kent, Lou Lyons, Doug Bent, and Nate Medina for helping with setup! 9:30am- Put up our signs and within minutes, our first guests arrived followed by many more! The support and general excitement for the future of The Arc of Tempe was felt yesterday. Thank you 🙏🏽 11:30am- All small items were snagged up and only one couch is still in need of a home. 💪🏼🙌🏼 12:00-1:30pm- Spent time listening to what our members want out of a recreational and community involvement program. Thank you, Arc participants, for your patience, faith, and your suggestions. Your wants matter and I’m hear to listen to you and advocate for you! 2:00pm- Cleaned and locked up the house.
