I just finished one of my many workouts with Cara and realized I always feel the same way when I leave. Dripping with sweat, smiling, and most of all empowered. She tailors the workout to push you to ...feel stronger and more confident about your body and capabilities.
She works out alongside you so that we are working together to achieve a goal. Cara also designed a workout for me to use at my apartment's gym. For years I stuck to what I knew when it came to working out- which was running and lifting weights. I was constantly discouraged because I would never see results. I came to her feeling lost about how to use the equipment offered in my facility. The workout she created helped me see results because the exercises targeted the areas I wanted to improve. Thank you Cara!

I've been working with Cara for about 5 weeks. I lowered my cholesterol around 100 points! This was so important for my health because my doctor wanted to put me on a statin, now I'm at a low cardio...vascular risk. Cara has such a calm approach. She has helped create recipes for me that support my active lifestyle, taste great, and are very nourishing. As a side effect, I've lost 6 pounds and am feeling great! I love having Cara's support because I find this health thing to be difficult to do on my own. I would recommend Cara to anyone! See More

Working with Cara has been a life changing experience to say the least! I have learned so much that has been beneficial to my health both physically and mentally. She has taught me to be mindful of al...l aspects that relate to a healthy lifestyle and that it doesn't take crazy diets or insane hours in the gym to be healthy and feel great. She is so supportive and tailors my workouts based on what my mind and body needs (which can sometimes mean more yoga/breathing rather than weight training to de-stress when things are getting heavy) but she also pushes me to stay focused and work hard.
Her voice is so calming and her positive attitude always leaves me charged and ready to take on the week and stay motivated toward my goals.
She's so much fun to work with! She's incredibly inspiring, encouraging, and kind.
She definitely gives the tough love during workouts but I always have fun and laugh with her between sets. She also keeps me informed about all things active around Boston and inspires me to try different styles of exercise inside the gym and outside around the city.
Cara is a fantastic personal trainer! I would encourage anyone to work with her to stay accountable and achieve the goal of a balanced healthy lifestyle!

I've been working with Cara for a few weeks now, and working with her is easily the best part of my week! Her positive energy and no-nonsense style of supporting her clients is refreshing and approach...able. I've expanded my knowledge regarding workouts and target areas to work on, along with receiving tips on form and ways to avoid injury. I'm excited to work with Cara moving forward into the new year - she genuinely cares about supporting and empowering her clients to be the best versions of themselves! See More

I've been working with Cara off-and-on for several months, and it's been wonderful. She's a great motivator and she has challenged me to explore more in the gym and get back into lifting weights and o...ther exercise routines that I had avoided for a long time. I highly recommend Cara to anybody looking to get back into their routine and adopt a healthier lifestyle. See More

I've never really been one for New Year's resolutions, but last year I decided to start getting active. Spring semester, I worked with Cara Mia Scinto of TheBalancedBod to get comfortable at the gym a...nd get used to setting a regimen and sticking to it. This past semester, I started pushing myself further and further, and - while my intentions behind working out had nothing to do with weight or body image - I noticed a couple of weeksago that I looked different, so I stepped on the scale and found that I've lost almost 20 lbs since August! More importantly, I'm feeling better, am motivated to improve my diet (except for pasta and gelato, of course!!!), and have used this as a way to supplement my Alexander Technique training to improve my breathing.

Cara is an excellent trainer who is truly dedicated to her clients; I never had any doubts that she was completely invested in coming up with personalized workout routines to help me where I needed it most. Her attitude, approach, and knowledge make her one of the best options if you're looking to improve your health and wellness, and I would recommend her in a heartbeat. Thanks for everything, Cara!

I have been working with Cara for about 6 months now! She is so knowledgeable in both workout exercises and nutrition. She has helped me improve my strength, flexibility, and overall comfortability in... the gym. She has pushed me to do the best that I can do and each workout session is different. She is incredibly personable, which makes each session so enjoyable. My workout sessions are something I look forward to each week. Cara has helped me get into the best shape of my life through our sessions and our discussions about nutrition. I am so thankful for her and how much she has helped me. Cara has such a great personality that its makes it so easy to develop a friendship with her as well. I will forever be grateful for all that she has done for me. See More

Cara is a really fun, compassionate, and motivational trainer- all of my fears about working with a personal trainer went out the window during my first session.

An anthem to all my dear friends out there cutting out all sugar, alcohol, carbs for the thirty days:
May you be peaceful and happy, healthy and strong, may you stay safe and protected from all kinds of harm and may you care for yourself joyfully and well. This metta prayer can be a wonderful tool to remember when choosing foods for balanced meals. Even though i thought NO MORE DIETS was something my buddies agreed with, i’ve been hearing lately how slipping back in to the la...test fads right after New Years is still going on which reassures me that there’s more work to be done.
Do you feel that the diet culture in our country has gotten out of hand? 👐

Let thy food be thy medicine -Hippocrates
One of my online clients living in Arizona found out from her doctor she lost 100 points on her cholesterol by changing her eating habits to a more balanced approach. I am beyond honored to get to work with people like her, who make it a priority to take better care of their health and wellness everyday.

One of my intentions for the new year is to open up more with you about my own personal balanced lifestyle journey. Not sure where to begin so I’ll just dive right in..
all my life i have dealt with eating disorder tendencies, ocd, anxiety and depression. Sometimes more intense than others but always there beneath the surface. For so long i was preoccupied taking care of others - one of my coping mechanisms for battling my own grief - and finally 1.5 year ago i decided it w...as time to seek professional help for myself. Now i do my best to be proactive with caring for my mental health and pay close attention to thoughts and behavior patterns as they’re happening. I can write this now because im currently out of depression mode but when it hits it hits HARD. You can usually tell because i won’t be on social media for awhile to eliminate stress of sharing with others. My way of recharging is to be still and quiet - literally taking long naps, and a voice rest really does help me recalibrate when I’m feeling off.
One thing i have recognized is how my period usually dictates my dark moods and cravings for addictive foods/drinks.
so, as my health continues to transform and change over time, i aim to put myself first. Believe me it’s a challenge because of my nurturing instincts towards others and creating a business and life that I love which revolves around educating people about wellbeing. But as I continue learning about the importance of self care, i fully intend on honoring and respecting my own needs to maintain balance. Who can relate? 🙏

#TBT the 90s. This pic makes me lol because I look absolutely thrilled to get socks for my bday 😄. In all seriousness though, during my <admittedly> daily morning insta scroll, a message @sarahfit shared struck a chord with me. Even as a health professional myself, sometimes when I’m catching up on my latest instagrammers content, i forget not to believe everything that’s put out there. I’m glad to be reminded of this by people who think outside the box though. Continuing my ...thoughts from yesterday’s post, if it weren’t for influencers and teachers who share honest, authentic content im not sure if ever have been introduced to a more holistic approach to balanced living. I want everyone to realize how important it is to question information that’s out there. Just because one guru says one thing works for her does not mean it’s a good idea for you. Just my two cents on the matter.. what are your thoughts on this topic?

Something I try to constantly remind clients of 👆. It’s not always easy though if you have ever been taught to judge your health by the scale. Even in my college fitness and nutrition classes and personal training certification course, I learned to measure people’s progress with numbers. Thankfully, friends introduced me to mindfulness and I got to experience living a balanced lifestyle from an inside-out perspective.
