It always seems impossible until you actually do it. You dreamed it. You wished it. You did it. 💪 ⠀ Here at the 20th Beverly Hills Film Festival, we’d like to tell all our Official Selection Filmmakers and Screenplay Writers that they hold a precious, worthy, and well-deserved status at our 20th anniversary edition of the #thebhfilmfest and we couldn’t be more proud and humbled by the astounding level of talent and creativity that we have seen among this year’s films and screenplays. ⠀ April 1st would have been our crowded, up-beat, colorful, red carpet event and the world premier of some remarkable films at the TCL Chinese Theatre. However, as you all know and have sadly postponed your trip, we will not be seeing you tomorrow. Your films and your screenplays have made a permanent mark in our hearts, and we CANNOT WAIT to reschedule the 20th BHFF when we receive legal clearance to do so. From its inception, the Beverly Hills Film Festival has taken pride in offering a platform for unheard voices, unseen visions, dismissed stories, and abandoned dreams. We continued to fight for a platform that offered a haven for absolute diversity, nurturing differences. Our deepest and most sincere empathy is dedicated to peaceful protestors who drive out darkness with their light. Our most heartfelt empathy goes out to our local communities, our businesses, and our residents who have been unjustly hurt by those who do not practice respectful, peaceful approaches. Our community has been wounded not by peaceful protestors, but by rejectors of social order and moral values. We bow before peace and respect peaceful protest. We bow before equality. We stand with social justice. We stand with social order. We stand with moral values. We stand with YOU while being mindful of the importance of ethics in our society.
