POMONA AWARDED $200K TO PREPARE APPLICATION FOR EVEN LARGER GRANTS 🎉...🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
On June 25, 2020, Pomona’s Transformative Climate Communities (TCC) Working Group, comprised of community partners, City of Pomona elected officials and staff, received news that their months-long effort resulted in a $200,000 Planning Grant from the California Strategic Growth Council (SGC)! These funds will allow the City to work toward and put into place the pieces necessary to be competitive for an even larger Implementation Award in the near future. With the current award, the City will “undertake integrated planning activities related to equitable [and] sustainable community development, including building partnerships and developing shovel-ready projects that help prepare [Pomona] to seek implementation dollars from the State and other sources.” Most importantly, these grant funds will help Pomona work toward “green-house reducing projects that [also] provide local economic benefits.” Read the full press release at: bit.ly/pomonasgcgrant.

El 25 de junio de 2020, el Grupo de Trabajo de Comunidades de Clima Transformativo de Pomona (TCC), compuesto por socios comunitarios, funcionarios electos y personal de la Ciudad de Pomona, recibió noticias de que su esfuerzo de meses de duración resultó en ¡Una subvención de planificación de $ 200,000 del Consejo de Crecimiento Estratégico de California (SGC)! Estos fondos permitirán a la Ciudad trabajar y colocar las piezas necesarias para ser competitivas para un Premio de Implementación aún mayor en el futuro cercano.
