Wanted to give a shout out to Inspector George at the City of The Colony for taking care of our family this holiday season when we had a gas leak in our house. With his help and service we were able t...o get our gas turned back on before Christmas and stay in our house to celebrate the holiday. Thanks a million George! Merry Christmas! See More

Love my home and enjoy watching it grow! I’ve been here since 2012 and when I was ready to move on, The Colony began to expand and offers too many good eateries to leave now!

I love my town. This area used to be a sleepy suburb, but the growth of North Dallas has added so much value and depth to the community. Nebraska Furniture Mart, the Oasis, all the commercial is a boost to the economy and our home values, and Main is almost done. The parks, the library, as long as we can keep the culture intact I'll be happy. See More

This little town would be so much better if they would fix the traffic lights on main street and North colony blvd. The main traffic is on main street and that light only stays green for 30 seconds. is ALWAYS backed up traffic because of that light! Please fix this and all the traffic lights off main street to hold green longer for the majority of cars driving on main street. Ugghh the traffic is unacceptable even after opening an extra lane. I've been working in the area and wondering why the light at Main/Josey and 121 southbound service road only stays green for 15 seconds but stays red for a minute and 15 seconds. It took five cycles get through and I kept having to shut my bike off to keep it from overheating. 9 to 12 cars getting through is unacceptable when the cross traffic has time to clear and I'm sitting there wishing I could just make it through. My wife and I have been calling and calling for weeks about the alleyway behind our house and the curb falling apart in front. Nobody ever answers and we leave voicemails that don't get followed up on.... The alleyway is a complete joke and the car bottoms out if you drive down it. Hey City of The Colony I'll just send you the bill. The front curb is falling apart and you can't park next to it because if you open the car door it scrapes on the concrete. So we can't park in the alley and we can barely park In front. Does anyone even work in the city offices or is it a call center overseas somewhere? See More

Please make the speed limit on the service road off 121 45 mph. There are too many accidents happening; there are too many businesses opening; you have to reduce the speed or more people will get hurt or die.

Remove if needed but it is related to our city... Need YOUR help! Our large wood carved Tiki statue was stolen from its mounting at our front door here in The Colony. When we came home late from the h...ospital last night it was there. Our daughter was up till 1am. So some time between 1am an 9am today some people stole it. Its very heavy and hard to move so it had to be two or more people. Please let me know if you see it, share this post and stay safe. If enough people see this maybe someone will have seen it or know, Thanks See More

Is there any way to get a handicapped place in front of our duples we rent here in The Colony ... on Chowning St. My husband is unable to walk hardly at all now, and we are resorting to a transport to take him back and forth to Dialysis, and doctors visits. Very hard to roll the chair and him through the grass to the parking area in back, actually about impossible. Several times at late evenings when coming home from Dialysis, I have had to park in middle of the street to get him out as some people, or visitors are parked in front of our duplex. And yes, sometimes those who live here do the same even knowing I have to get him out there. Seems there could be some way for this to be done? See More

When will the city stop backing The Colony Animal Control with their laziness and minimal efforts to save the animals who come in to their facility? I work with many shelters and this one, and it's em...ployees, disgust me more than I can express. The animals of our city deserve better. They deserve people who care, who work diligently and creatively at ALL times to get them out of the shelter either via rescue, foster or adoption. It is pathetic that the "leaders" of our city back this. You should be ashamed. See More

Why is it necessary for city workers to drive across my yard instead of driving down the alley?

Something has to be done with the light at Memorial and 423. Letting only 3 maybe 4 cars turn left onto 423 at 6pm is ridiculous!!!!!
