After spending $200/ticket for VIP mezzanine seats to see a show, a belligerent drunk a few rows down decided it would be a good idea to stand up and block the view of the show for the next 5 rows bac...k, including mine. After complaining to a member of the staff, they told me that they couldn't legally make her sit down, despite all of the complaints from myself and surrounding concertgoers. How can they get away with selling tickets for that amount of money, only to also allow people to stand up and completely block the view from up in the mezzanine area, and still not refund the tickets for the show? Imagine what would happen if someone decided to stand up and be a belligerent drunk during a broadway musical, when all of the eventgoers have spent hundreds of dollars per ticket; they'd be thrown out immediately, and rightfully so! I have put all of my other purchased tickets for upcoming events at the Fox for sale as a result of this, and will not waste my money here ever again, and would strongly advise anyone else who has bought very expensive tickets for the upper levels to do the same. I saw Wide Spread Panic here March 29, 2014. The acoustics are phenomenal. In my opinion there are no bad seats at this venue. The theater has that "old elegance" feel. I've been to music venues aroun...d the world and hearing music at this theater is best top 5. Mehr anzeigen

It's one of the most beautiful theaters I've experienced live music within. You must come experience the Fox Theater at least once. Watch for someone you'd love to see and come! Or, just pick a show a...t random and come experience an awesome evening! Just get here! Mehr anzeigen

A while back, my girlfriend and I went to the Fox Theater to see a live showing of My Favorite Murder. I had bought tickets for the event on TicketMaster in advance and printed them out.

On the actu...al day of the show, my girlfriend had forgotten her ticket at her house back in Southern California. No problem, I thought, as I had my ticket and her seat would still be there. I figured I would go talk to the people at the pick-up window and they could print out another copy.

I've attended quite a few plays and events at theaters, but never in my life, and I'm mean this literally and not hyperbolicly, have I interacted with ruder event workers. They explained to us that despite having my ticket and the card I purchased it with, they couldn't printer her another one. In fact, they accused me of participating in ticket scalping and said we were taking money away from the artists, and that we were out of luck.

After attempting to console my girlfriend, who is crying at this point, I figure, the heck with this, I have my ticket and there's going to be an empty seat next to me. I'm just going to go to the front door, explain the situation, and they'll let us in.

Not only did the people at the front door let us in, several of the other attendees saw my girlfriend crying, overheard me explain the situation, and offered their own tickets to let her in (some of their friends couldn't make it).

Ultimately, we did sit in our original seats, and the show was definitely a 5/5 and worth every penny I spent. I even debated writing up this review for a while, considering the rest of the evening went well. But still, on my reflection of the whole fiasco to get in and the accusations made for using TicketMaster, I don't think I'll be returning to the Fox Theater any time soon.

Saw Van Morrison 21 Oct. I have never seen him live so figured I better see him before one of us dies.

Flew from Dallas, stayed with friends who were also going to the gig. They raved about how cool... the venue was and it is indeed lovely.

Imagine my disappointment when I discovered that our $200 seats were on a flat part of the floor. Behind us were people on bar stools who could see over us but all I had to look at was the dork in front wearing a dumb pork pie hat.

I could only see the crash cymbals of the drummer. There was NO WAY to see the band clearly. So I got up, complained to an usher. Of course it was sold out so there were no other seats.

I ended up standing in the aisle where I was continually told to move over by another usher.

I rarely see bands live because of BS like this. And I NEVER fly somewhere to see a band. So I was out over $1,500 and ended up with a very miserable experience. I would probably never go back to your theatre but if I did I would ensure I got seats where I could see the fucking show.

I was in U31 I think. Thanks Fox Theatre for spoiling what I hoped to be a ‘bucket list’ event.

Great place to go for concert events and enjoy your favorite bands play. I've been there at least 4-5 times. The last most recent was checking out Washed Out perform. They were awesome! The 2 opening ...acts prior, DEGA and Peanut Butter Wolf, were pretty good too. But, I definitely came and wanted to see Washed Out live. They were just 1 song away of performing nearly all of my favorites from them. Back to the Fox...

Not too big at all, it makes for a more intimate and personal experience than going to those crazy large concert halls and stadiums where probably at least 75% people there are watch a big screen. It gets crowded, but not overly. Easy to get in when show is starting and easy to leave when it has ended. Nice art deco design.

Generally, tickets are very reasonably priced. I would suggest loading up on the alcohol or whatever endorphin enticing substance of your choice before going in cause drinks are HELLA expensive.. but other than that, great place indeed to watch and listen to your favorite bands.

The loge seats with a table in between are so comfortable!! Beautiful theatre, great sound. Only disappointment was The Telegraph room upgrade. Not worth the extra $$. Appetizers were mainly rice, dri...nks were expensive and very short pours. Mehr anzeigen

From its intimate settings to its cozy lounge areas, The Fox Theater is by far the best and cleanest venue to watch any of your famous bands perform live. They also serve very tasty food too, as I hig...hly recommend trying both their Bbq rib sandwich and my personal favorite, their pulled-pork sandwich. Definitely looking forward to hitting up more future shows at OakTown's Fox Theater! Mehr anzeigen

Anytime an artist I like is having a show at the Fox, I instantly get super excited. The Fox is, next to Red Rocks, the most consistently amazing venue I've been to in my time on this earth. Deserving of 6 stars.

The space is beautiful, in a wonderful area, and the sound is always on point. I don't know what else you could want from a venue - the fox is the best place to see a show in the entire bay area.

The Fox is by far, the best place to see a show! It's gorgeous inside and out. Great staff, multiple bars and a great hang-out destination before the show starts.
