Sorry that we haven't had a lot to post lately... So how about a story about romance
During one of our visits with Florence, she is one of the youngest Maney daughters, she shared some memories from her childhood in the house.
Every Saturday the girls had to polish the steps and the bannister. Florence was always elected to clean the ashes that collected while the other girls entertained their beaus in front of a roaring fire.
Quite a job for a girl. . .
Stay tuned for more about this story.
Trivia Tuesday Time!!!

- My new husband and I stayed at the Grandison Inn for our honeymoon o...n May 14th. What a grand place! We had the luxury of room service if we wanted it or not. It was peaceful and we enjoyed a bubble bath in the jacuzzi in our room. My sister and brother-in-law had a room there and so did my cousin and her husband. The next morn. the six of us enjoyed a luxury table set for us with a wonderful full breakfast. We laughted and took pictures before we all had to go our seperate ways to three different states. It was truly a time to remember and my husband and I are already planning a visit back for our first anniversary next year. In the same room we spent our honeymoon. Mrs. David Soles
