    Alright friendos-
    I think we'd been waiting to have a final show that actually felt like a 'proper' final show, complete with all the confusing emotions and celebratory 'end of an era' weight. You guys and gals gave us that last night and ...much more. We will forever have that show tattooed into our brains and hearts. A life highlight. Thank you for all the support throughout the years. It's been an adventure, and last night is exactly how we wanted this adventure to end. We love you! Stay in touch.

      OH NO - IT'S HAPPENED AGAIN!!! Must I be forever cursed to discover awesome bands when they've split - or on the verge of splitting...?! I'm weeping outwardly. And inwardly. And upwardly, downwardly - and all other '-wardlies/wardlys' there can possibly be! I'm very 󾌹. Last.fm's need doing the 'chucking awesome unsigned bands at me' thing for the past month or so (think you're the first Yank lot for a while; y'see, like Last.fm, I'm a Londoner (almost, just outside), so they tend to keep the unknowns British). Much Love and MASSIVE HUGS/Respect/Kudos/Good Vibes and Peace from my little corner of South-East England. Joey, hope the move's going/went well, and may 2014 be everything you want/hope/need it to be. Same for the rest of you. Don't be strangers and I hope I'll hear more of you in the (very) near future, you're EXTREMELY talented lads; keep doing what ya do and, most importantly of all - STAY INDIE! NEVER lose control of your creativity, I've seen FAR too many fantastic bands get screwed/fucked-over by majors (the main offenders...? EMI/Parlophone/Sony/Virgin. Is it any WONDER that EMI and Parlophone are now owed by Sony...?! Most evil label on EARTH (and several of my fave bands - all of whom I thought had a social conscience (Manic Street Preachers, I'm looking in your direction...) - are signed to 'em!). There's just one thing that's left to say Particularly now you've called it a day With American culture I'm not too au fait So WTF is/was Henry Clay...?! Stay in touch, my new awesomely talented matey-dudes! X❤X

    more nostalgia in prep for the final send off: A semi-acoustic performance from SXSW 2012 with our shortest term HCP bass player to date, Andy from The World Record. The lack of energy was likely due to the several pounds of hot dogs and waffle fries we consumed only minutes prior to performing.

    With the last HCP show coming up this Saturday, we're getting pretty nostalgic here... SO - for the next few days we'll post up a bunch of our favorite "band moments" which have found their way to the internet. This one is from our Jam In the Van session from summer 2011, drinking cheap beer in a piss covered alley in LA.

    Hello friendos-

    The Henry Clays play August 17th at Echo Park Rising music fest. It's free. We'll be playing in the early evening...

    In the past, we have been sort of doomsdayish with our "this could be it for the band" insinuations. Yet here we are.

    This one may be different. This may actually be "it" for the following exciting reasons:

    Eric is now a proud papa bear and one test away from be...ing a legit architect.
    Andy is going back to school.
    Joey is moving to the east coast to go back to school.
    Harris is currently touring the country/world with other rock and roll bands.
    Noah has a rad new band called The Pretty Flowers.

    If the August 17th show sucks, then we will probably have to do another to redeem ourselves, but it might not be until 2020: Thirty-Five for the Rest of Our Lives.

    It's been fun. We miss you. We miss playing. It's kinda sad and happy at same time. Let's make this one special.
