       Let's play a game of "What's cluttering up your computer desk today, then?" Here's what's immediately in front of me right now… I have ULTERIOR - Official Band Page's Japanese remix/covers/bits 'n' pieces CD, on Fifty One Records - the label that seems to sign up every band I write about in http://www.nemesis.to (do a cross-check - it's uncanny. I think I should put in for A&R fees). The CD was actually sent to me from Taiwan….while the band themselves are just up the road from me, comparatively speaking. There must be a less complex way of delivering music that doesn't require the involvement of 3 countries. But it's here now. Hooray! I also have the new album by The Infinite Three, who did a splendid live set in a King's Cross basement last night. I think they should do some gigs with Manflu - in 'Mother Iron' they've got a song that could go head to head with Manflu's 'Tek' and (maybe) win. Underneath that, there's the 'All About Satan' CD by (r), who were also rather good last night. Lots of effects pedals. Lots of feather boas. It's all you need, really, isn't it? Apart from a pronunciation guide for the band name. (A hat-doff also to Ben McLees, who did a fine solo version of 'Optimism Creeping In' last night - an old song from his old band that I haven't heard live for years…) And finally on my computer desk - the new Private Eye, sent to me by my mum. I don't know if she actually *reads* Private Eye, but she always sends it to me. It'll be interesting to see if my own local council is in the Rotten Boroughs section (again). And there's also a note to myself, in blue felt-tip, that says "Clamp 3 flexihoses". What can it all mean?

       Last night at Surya London was epic, one of the best ( r ) shows ever. Daniele Pagliero and I would like to thank The Infinite Three, Ben McLees and Adam Donen for having shared the night with us, Phil Oxby for his hospitality, the one and only Klarita Kaparte Pandolfi-Carr for having booked and managed the show and everyone who came out to see us. You all are some really freakin fantastic people...and yes, we've been awesome...love.

    Please spread the word about this and contact them if you can help in anyway. London would be a much poorer place without the Horse Hospital:

    Dearest friends and loyal supporters of the Horse Hospital,

    I just wanted to give all you advance notice that in a meeting last night, Tuesday 13th May 2014, the landlord informed me that he intends to sell off the Horse Hospital. The building will go on t...he market next month for £2.5million.

    Thankfully I have managed to negotiate a contract to stay here and continue with our scheduled program until the end of March 2015, so those of you who are booked in for an exhibition or event can rest assured that it will happen.

    Whether we can raise that kind of money remains to be seen, but having invested over 20 years in the building I intend to do everything in my power to make it happen, it's a massive task but I remain firmly optimistic that with everyone’s help it is possible. So over the coming weeks we shall be exploring all forms of investors, grants, and funding avenues to help keep the place alive. Any leads would be truly welcome.

    But time is seriously against us, and we shall be arranging a brainstorming 'Call to Arms' meeting for all interested parties as soon as possible. If you think you can help in any way please get in touch with me. In the meantime a formal press release will be going out across the world in the next few days, which should raise some interest, and of course I would be incredibly grateful if you could pass this and other messages on to all and everyone you know.
