Hey everyone, This is Scott, posting on behalf of the Love Bus project. We will be taking a little hiatus from the project for the next few months. Ryan has some family emergencies and we've put in a lot of time and energy into the bus lately, and need to find some balance.

There have been some questions about Lost and Found items;

Anything of value, left in the front part of the bus, is always left with the Lost and Found, at the event venue. MOOP of questionable value is... disposed of appropriately. (odd socks, broken stuff, plastic items, feathers, paper etc.)

Items lost in the ballpit will be able to be recovered the next time we empty the ball pit. To empty the ballpit, we need about 6-8 volunteers and a full sunny day. This is why we have large signs reminding people to empty their pockets before entering the ball pit.

One person spent over an hour searching in the ballpit, on Sunday, but found nothing; and we had to take the bus back to storage so that Ryan and I could attend to family commitments.

Any items left in the bus, but not in the ballpit, were left at the venue. We have limited storage space donated to the project and no longer can securely store lost items. We are sorry for this, but there simply isn't the human resources to empty the ball pit after every event, it is an 8-10 hour job. The new ball-pit washer/ball vacuum helps a great deal, but we still need to ensure the balls are dry, before putting them back in the ballpit to avoid mould. To ensure we find all the items, all 30,000 balls have to sucked out of the ballpit, then washed, then the pit itself washed, then the balls dried in the sun, and then manually loaded back into the ball pit.

Ryan (and I) are also likely taking the rest of the year off from the Love Bus project while he attends to a family emergency.

If there is someone who is willing to be responsible for managing Lost and Found, and organizing more regular cleaning, that would be a great! Ryan and I already dedicate 2 to 20 hours a week to the project.

- With Love
Ryan and Scott and the rest of the Love Bus Crew!

Scott and Ryan working on the LED arrays in the bus... The fourth panel is in and we are re-wiring the third tonight for better performance!

Matthew Beaton is a genius! he wrote a tool that simulates the LED array in the Love Bus on any computer so people can write visualizations and games for the bus from the comfort of their home! AMAZING!

58 LEDs per strip X 31 strips per pannel X 4 pannel = 7192 pixels of rainbows in your faces!

Jessica Peters fixed the "off by one" error in the Love Bus LED array code!!!

Here are the offending lines of code, in their corrected version! Where they now say 31, they said 32 before:
if (y % 2 == 0 && y < 31) {
pixel = palette[(~~colour(w - x, y) + paletteoffset) % 256];...
} else if (y % 2 == 1 && y < 31) {
pixel = palette[(~~colour(x, y) + paletteoffset) % 256];
}

Anyone have some arcade style buttons or joysticks that we can use for adding group-play mini-games to the Love Bus?

We also would like a small-ish touchscreen, and are hoping to put in a thumpin' sound system.

As usual, we don't have much of a budget, so are always looking for donations first!

We gifted away the unused polycarbonate panels, last year, and are trying to find out where they have ended up, otherwise we'll need to buy a new 6 foot panel. If anyone knows where they ended up, we'd love to get just one back, it will save us from having to go to the USA and buy another!

The Love Bus LED array circuit boards that will make up the new LED arrays... good thing when Vlad made these we got extras!
