#LatePost - Taco Tuesday legislative discussion on student loan debt reform presented by Congresswoman Karen Bass and staff.
It is shameful that in this day and age that students are deprived access to their dreams because of crippling student loan debt.
At this very moment, more than 43 million U.S. student borrowers collectively owe $1.4 trillion and counting in student loans. That’s millions unable to buy their first car; millions more unable to buy their first home – mill...ions of dreams on hold until their debt is paid off.
Students should be able to pursue a high-quality education without taking on hundreds of thousands of dollars in student loan debt.

We were honored to host Congresswomen Karen Bass' 2019 Congressional Art Competition reception at the The Metaphor Club last weekend. Impressive artwork coming... from LA high school students. Norma Carrillo, a senior at Crenshaw High School, earned first place honors and will visit the nation's capital where her art will be displayed for one year.
