Thankful to have a theatre in Memphis that has been and will continue to be a cornerstone to the arts in our community. Within the past few months I have attended a ballet there, a summer movie, and ...a musical, and every experience was lovely due to the beautiful building and dedicated and caring team of staff, ushers, concessions and ticket people. Going to the Orpheum is always a treat and I am so glad we have them! See More

Not only did we have an awesome night seeing a great comic at The Orpheum tonight, but when we realized we’d left a phone (not to mention ID and all the credit cards in the case!), the staff went beyo...nd the call of duty and opened up the closed theatre to retrieve it from the security office and meet us out front to save us another two hour drive back tomorrow. #bestpeopleever #memphisrules #thankyouorpheum See More

As a young adult that spent his high school days going through the Orpheum's Educational programs, I couldn't be more grateful for the work they do there and what the Orpheum stands for. I can only that one day I'm part of a national tour that stops through the Orpheum and I get to perform on that stage and give back to an organization that did so much for me. Keep doing what you're doing. You guys are killing it. See More

I'm so proud of what The Orpheum and its adjacent Halloran Centre do for Memphis. Their staff is dedicated to bringing a variety of engaging programs my entire family can enjoy. From the summer movie ...series to a live broadcast of "Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me" to Disney's "The Lion King" musical to dinner on stage events (during which we enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of this historic gem), we look forward to continue enjoying the multifaceted experience The Orpheum offers. I am SO disappointed in the Orpheum theatre Memphis and the decision to pull the classic Gone with the Wind! Shame on you for falling into this media racsism garbage !!! I can't even begin to tell you... how many shows you've had there that I FIND offensive (pippin to be one of them with the cage sex scene implications and many MANY other awful scenes) with which I do not agree with BUT ... if I don't want to see if then I don't pay my money to come and see it - it's as simple as that! When you open the gates and begin censoring things around the feelings of some you are opening yourself up for a lot of criticism. You should have never removed a classic like Gone with the Wind ! I hope that you will reconsider your statement and bring back one of the best of all time, not to mention one which the FIRST BLACK FEMALE actress won one of the most covenant awards for her role !!! Simply a disgraceful decision! See More

On a cold Friday morning, the cast and crew of The Color Purple Musical toured the National Civil Rights Museum. Check out this video of their emotional experience.
