I was in town for a convention and had the opportunity to have dinner with some colleagues at Sir Winston’s and it was excellent. I asked our waiter “If I were eating one meal heal, what would you re...commend?” and Beef Wellington was his answer. I agreed and WOW, tender, juicy beef, dark brown gravy, crispy pastry crust, carmelized onions, steamed veggies and just enough mashed potatoes. French onion soup and some Alexander Valley Cabernet rounded out my meal. Others had fish, scallops And steaks and their plates were clean at the end of the meal. Walking the decks and looking at the memorabilia was a history lesson. Two of the group were staying onboard and one was in one of the haunted cabins. Definitely worth the visit. See More

What a Disappointment!

One of our favorite stops in LA was to have lunch at the Queen Mary and explore this magnificent ship. We were looking forward to a pricy but delicious light lunch. Now the ...purveyors of this fabulous venue charge $32.00 a person just to enter. Worse that is the no thrills access price! So basically for four people that is a $128 surcharge just for the privilege of paying for lunch and perusing the gift shop. We were prepared to spend over a hundred dollars already but we will not pay for the privilege of doing business there. After 6:00 pm access is free but then you are paying the dinner prices with diminished evening views from the deck. Off to somewhere else for lunch. See More

Such an amazing ship. Glad that Urban Commons is restoring her and giving her the TLC she desperately needs. The new Ghosts & Legends show was awesome! Much improved from how it used to be. Robert and... Dustin were great guides. A bit bummed that the first-class swimming pool — the most famous haunted location on the ship — is off limits now. They had a window where you could look in and see it, though. Room service food was pretty good and arrived quickly. The room was clean and the beds were comfy. Staff was all super friendly. See More

Love the history, the ambience, the tours and tour guides, the drinks in the Observation Bar, and the room was pleasant. Only bummer is the cafe closing at 4pm, but we just ordered room service instea...d. I'm sad to see the bad reviews here; you don't stay on the Queen for a 5-star experience. You should know that going in. It's old and in need of repairs which are currently being done. I'm happy to pay more so they can fix up the place. BUT part of the fun IS the fact that it's old and you can SEE and FEEL the history. Stop complaining about the tv not working!! Why are you watching tv on vacation anyway??!! See More

As a history dork, it was awesome. However, don't book through a third party like Booking, because the Queen Mary management will do nothing to help you if there's a mistake or discrepancy. I was on h...old with Booking for 2.5 hours after I messed up on the date, and there was only one staff member (a female, didn't catch her name) who was willing to help us or check in on us at all. I could also tell her hands were totally tied in trying to make our experience more enjoyable. I don't usually write reviews like this, but it was so incredibly disappointing and exhausting, especially for the amount of money we shelled out, that I feel the need to warn people. See More

The atmosphere was great! The room was clean and period correct, I loved walking around the ship and checking out all it had to offer. The negatives about the stay were the bed was horrible, hard as a... rock! We needed an extra towel or 2 and called the front desk to get them, about an hour later we finally had to find a housekeeper in the hall and get them ourselves. They charge 22 dollars to park, another 14 for internet even if you don't want It! All in all it was a nice stay but very expensive for what it was. See More

It was just OK. Check in took way to long. 30 minutes standing in line. The room was nice. I loved that the port hole opened. Walls are very thin. Could hear everything on both sides of us, even the... dogs. Sir Winston’s was great. Really good food. But the walk to the restaurant and then back to the room was crazy. They need coffee pots in the rooms! See More

Went to ships and Giggles Comedy Night. First comedians little too raunchy for me but headliner was awesome. Free show! Can't beat that- in the super cool art deco Observatory bar. Drew a big mixed c...rowd and the outdoor patio bar was packed with fun people as well. Love the ship, definitely worth going if you've never explored the Queen Mary. See More

A step back in time to a more elegant era. History around every corner and on every deck. To walk where Churchill walked.... an amazing experience. Wonderful waite staff with excellent trivia informat...ion. A beautiful experience. Friendly staff at every turn. A unique opportunity to step back in time. Wish I could have spent more time there. Will come back! See More

It wasn't actually at the Queen Mary. We went to the One Love Festival and the cops near the end of the event blocked all points of entry down into the venue area. Long Beach Police spoiled it for me ...and I won't come to another event down there. We couldn't get an UBER; Lyft or Cab for quite some time because they wouldn't let anyone into the area. Our vehicle was parked a few miles from the venue because there isn't any parking at the event. Horrible experience!!! See More

I absolutely love going to the Queen Mary. Given a choice of places to go I always choose a few days on board. It is a vacation experience. I stroll the ship, maybe take a tour, eat the really great f...ood and naps in my state room. I always feel refreshed after a few days on board. Highly recommended. See More

I went for NYE. I had fun but one of my friends was in a wheelchair and the Queen Mary isn't very wheelchair friendly. In all fairness to them it's an old boat but they could have done some updating. ...

Fireworks were great but parking is kinda steep at $30 for new year's. It's a good place to spend New Years at least once. We had fun.

DIspite waiting an hour to get checked in (after check in time) only to be told that no rooms were available regardless of an email I got 2 days prior saying my room was ready.....they sent champagne ...and chocolate covered strawberries to our room to make up for it! Bed was super comfy! See More

Staying on a boat was cool. The room was just a bed. We order breakfast in room, no table to eat at. Walking around the boat was neat. Would I stay again,? No. Stayed in way better places for ch...eaper. Very hard to even get to. See More

You can’t compare 1930’s amenities with 2018. I did not expect a modern experience. Rather than bitch about what you don’t get, I rather focused on what an experience it was. Quaint little, old timey sinks and showers and a whole lot of nostalgia. I wish more of the ship was open to explore - but safety and renovations preclude it. I think the room rates (through CheapTickets) were fine, but they fail to mention the parking and ‘fees’ which really jack up the price of a night’s stay. A/C is through the portholes - so you just have to adapt. Paper thin walls with an eerily quiet ship really let voices from adjoining rooms and halls carry. It was fun - but doubt I will repeat it. Glad to have this experience available for us twenty first century peeps See More

Loved staying here with my boyfriend for our 7 year anniversary. The room we booked was cleaned and smelled of lemons. We got a room in the middle of the ship so unfortunately it didn't have any Which is totally fine. We took a paranormal investigations tour which was very fun and over 2 hours long. I wouldn't recommend dining/ drinking on board the ship unless your willing to blow $100+ on a meal. We went across the bridge to dine. I was hoping to hear some strange noises or see things due to parts of the ship being haunted. But didn't hear or see anything out of the ordinary.
We loved it so much, and are already talking about coming back during the fall.

Incredible energy on this historical ship. If you haven’t been, definitely go take a visit. Stay in the hotel if you can. Definitely an experience I will never forget. I also loved the friendly staff.

The room was a little sub-par but the vibe and the history of the ship was so much fun. Love the Art Deco design throughout and the food is great.

I enjoyed my stay, seen some history on the ship and how they lived on the ship while cruising, many Famous people, the room actually bigger than what I thought, not too impressed with the restaurant ...area. Would have been nice to have some lounging area on top decks to enjoy the scenery of Long Beach , but overall enjoyed See More
