"The transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics, along with compositional and genomic analyses permit us to compare the rates of unintended off-target changes in GE organisms vs those arrived at via other breeding methods. Indeed, such measures have been used to test exactly that question."

"Bacon from a land pig tastes delicious, while bacon from a sea pig tastes like a fish farted on a dirty beach cracker."
And now we summon strangers from the internet to chauffeur us around in their cars.
"Because of this not-for-profit approach, MRI isn’t focused on buying or owning intellectual property. That isn’t to say it doesn’t want the projects to pay for themselves or even fund further work, but that’s not the priority. STAT notes, “But any products it passes on to commercial partners will come with strings attached—commitments that the products will be made available at affordable prices, in the needed volume, and within a specified time frame.”"

I don't usually create stuff like this because it's a pointless scream into the abyss.
That said, if you openly decide not to vaccinate your kids, you're strong...ly misinformed. You are not only putting your child at risk but people it will encounter. This should be obvious.
It's not 'edgy' or 'woke', you only prove your own lack of understanding of the science behind it. It annoys me to see something so dangerous slip in with other modern trends. It's not the same as raising a child at home or vegan.
It's even worse to see people proudly claim they've ignored all other advice because "they've done their own research". Googling 'why I shouldn't vaccinate my kid' and clicking some twat's blog isn't research.
And no, vaccination doesn't cause autism.
Maybe if people spent a little more time listening to people who are professionally trained in the subject their kids wouldn't be contributing to another measles outbreak.
Someone as popular and influential as Kat Von D shouldn't broadcast such dangerous views. Yet this is the world we live in.

Zero risk is not possible with non-GMO either (or anything else). This is how anti-science groups weaponize consumers' unfamiliarity with science and risk assesment against them.
Hey Non-GMO Project! I fixed this for you!! And you should read this: http://www.scimoms.com/2018/…/19/zero-risk-impossible-dream/

"The question of Bigfoot’s existence comes down to the claim that “Where there’s smoke there’s fire.” The evidence suggests that there are enough sources of error that there does not have to be a hidden creature lurking amid the unsubstantiated cases." - Benjamin Radford

I freaking knew it! The greatest trick Basement Cat ever pulled was convincing the world that he didn't exist! Where's your Ceiling Cat now?!

I like how both versions produce true statements in this instance.

This week marks the end of an era, and the end of a giant in the world of food production.
Rest in peace Monsanto. You're with the angels now.

It's good to see some of the top comments calling out the anti-vax part, but those are then being answered by more anti-vax craziness.
I knew the minute we announced our pregnancy that we would be bombarded with unsolicited advice.
Some good and some questionable - unsolicited none the less.
...I also was prepared for the backlash and criticism we would get if we decided to be open about our personal approach to our pregnancy. My own Father flipped out on me when I told him we decided to ditch our doctor and go with a midwife instead.
If you don’t know what it’s like have people around you think you are ridiculous, try being openly vegan.
And, if you don’t know what it’s like to have the entire world openly criticize, judge, throw uninformed opinions, and curse you - try being a pregnant vegan, having a natural, drug-free home birth in water with a midwife and doula, who has the intention of raising a vegan child, without vaccinations.
My point being: I already know what it’s like to make life choices that are not the same as the majority. So your negative comments are not going influence my choices - actual research and educating myself will - which i am diligently doing.
This is my body. This is our child. And this is our pregnancy journey.
Feel free to follow me on here if you like what I’m about - whether it’s tattooing, lipstick, Animal Rights, sobriety, feminism, ridiculous gothiness, black flower gardening, cats, or my adorable husband.
But if you don’t dig a certain something about what I post, i kindly ask that you press the unfollow button and move the fuck on.
So before anyone of you feel inspired to tell me how to do this, I would appreciate you keeping your unsolicited criticism to yourself.
More importantly, for those who have amazing positive energy to send my way, I will gladly and graciously receive it with love! X
