I'm a sucker for hipster coffee. That being said, having just moved from LA, this is different. All of the staff are kind and genuinely interested in us customers. Reminds me of what I imagine coffee shops of old: a place to talk life, politics, local issues, fun and fellowship.

I was visiting Detroit from Grand Rapids and stopped at this place, the decor was beautiful, staff was super nice, I got the vegan PB bar and a lavender latte, both absolutely delicious. It's nice to find vegan options!

Excellent coffee. They have a great selection of baked goods. My favorite is the Ginger,toffee scone.,But there so many great tasting pastries to choose from.

Always excellent, helpful, and professional service. They have excellent baked goods the Salted Caramel cake is decadent. Also always love the popovers. Coffee is always spot on.

Pleasant staff. Quaint atmosphere. Gets a bit noisy when grade school kids show up. Limited menu items.

Red Hook is off the hook. Almond Tart with a Chai. Won't, can't, shant, shouldn't, couldn't, didn't, disappoint. Never disappoints.

This is a great place!

I invited my boyfriends family visiting when they visited from out of the state and they loved the place: the art, the coffee, the serv...ice - the works! I always recommend my friends and family to check them out when they're visiting the neighborhood. My mom is a fan too. It's a great spot to grab a yummy cup of coffee or tea and even some vegan snacks (huge plus!). They're always very friendly and helpful and the service is quick.

The BEST almond milk cappuccino in Detroit Metro!!! Everything they do, they do with perfection and seek out the best of everything.

They have the best baked ...goods from Pinwheel Bakery and best donuts from Dilla's.

They even go to flower farms to get the most beautiful flowers!

The red hook is kind of clickish...they till to acknowledge certain peolpe, not realizing u can get a good coffee anywhere. People come here for the atmosphere,... and when u dont make people feel comfortable, you tend to lose customers. We are a couple of straight blacks who come here around 4 times a week spending on average .....10-15 dollars a day. Still have to get in there face to get them to say anything . Its too bad though. Its a nice place to eat and drink. This is a business. You dont usually get to pic and choose who you are professional (not nice ) with. Calling out 2 women. The tall gorgeous with dark hair, and the worst offender is the short black haired one at the counter. You are hurting business, hence this review...unfreaking believeable. Gone to Boston, Philly, Pittsburgh, New York City, LA, San Diego, Cleveland, Nashville... This place is still the BEST to my tastebuds. Love this place!! Amazing soy cappuccino and vegan baked and donut good offerings

Great neighborhood cafe! To those who disagree and think the service is rude, maybe you are rude and you go to cafes to feed off of others happiness? I'd reassess your perspective. Warm, inviting, family-friendly, bright and sunny, business anchor in The Villages.
