DON’T YOU JUST ❤️ THE GOLDEN OLDIES?
SHARE WITH US YOURS!
This is ...Tasi. Tasi was rescued by Deathrow Unchained Animal Sanctuary from the pound at the age of 9. Pulled off one of the islands in Moreton Bay as a stray, her family never came to get her.
She’s now the ripe old age of 14 years young & is the happiest, most forgiving & dedicated friend you could ever want. She is the adopted fur child of our founder & has been diagnosed with the big ‘C’. No biggie though- she currently spends her days living her best life & crossing things off her bucket list, mostly consisting of: going to the beach & eating as many different types of snacks as time will allow (Note: fruit is NOT her friend).
Tell us about your golden oldies! No mater the species we want to meet the old souls! Please share! See More
HELP SAVE THE SPECTACLED FLYING FOX!!
WAKE UP QUEENSLAND!!!
A flyi...ng fox colony, that has been home to thousands of endangered flying foxes is set to be dispersed by the government this week. The site has been their home for over one hundred years - Longer than any of us have even been alive!! It disgusts us that after all the fires & devastation our government still hold no respect for our wildlife.
This is on you Australia, only together can we have a chance at saving this species.
ONE THIRD of this species was lost in a heat stress event less than a year ago. Without flying foxes our native trees will die out. They will no longer be pollinated & already declining bush land will be left bare.
Flying foxes pollinate eucalyptus trees too. Even if you don’t like bats- think of all the other species that depend on them fertilising, pollinating and building the bush. The plain reality is without them, we risk losing all food supplies for koalas, possums, gliders, native birds and so so so much more.
SIGN THE PETITION NOW.
Not later. Not tomorrow. NOW!
Annastacia Palaszczuk MP please stop this happening in your state!!!! See More

Did you try getting c...rafty during isolation but now just have a room full of stuff you’ll never use? Thought you’d try your hand at knitting but got in a tangle? Wanted to make a quilt but ended up with square eyes?
Well don’t feel bad! Donate your unused craft items or projects to someone who can use it! We have talented groups of people who can make wonderful things like joey pouches and possum caves!
Things our wonderful crafters could use are:

🧶 Yarn, cord, ribbon, etc
🧵 Threads and bobbins
🧶 Accessories such as scissors, measuring tapes, cutting boards, cutters and blades, etc.
🧵 Second-hand items: doonas (no feathers), mattress protectors, fleece or flannelette blankets.
🧶Unfinished crochet or knitting projects can be finished or the yarn recycled. But please no unfinished sewing projects.
Please NO linen, sheets, towels or pillows. We have limited storage space and at this time do not need these items.
For all second hand items, please only send if clean or as-new. These are for precious little babies! Not sure if it’s suitable? Feel free to ask by emailing Delilah at craft@therescuecollective.org.au
