For brunch today, I enjoyed a shared order of chocolate donut holes (which were delightful). I was pleased at the level of sweetness as it was actually much less than expected. Rich and well complemen...ted with blackberry - I highly recommend. For a main dish, I ordered the special grit cakes with pork belly, poached eggs, avocado and ranchero sauce with mixed greens. The flavors made an excellent combination and the pork belly was cooked to perfection (many can get it wrong in the “too chewy” category). The only critique I have is the amount of ranchero sauce, I wish there would have been slightly less as it was a bit overpowering. Seating was immediately available, service was friendly and timely, and atmosphere was quaint. This will be on our shortlist of favorite spots! See More

It happened after the Winter Blast tonight. What could have been a perfectly nice dinner was a disaster thanks to our rude, opinionated, self righteous waitress. I believe her name was Wendy (the one ...with all of the neck tattoos).

I am vegan and I was perfectly happy to work around the very limited selection of vegan options on the menu. Before our food arrived Wendy made it her business let us know her opinion about veganism. Unfortunately she would not stop, she would not back down, she became very argumentative and ultimately rude and offensive. Wendy stood above me and would not stop arguing with the people at the table. I know that it is not the job of a waitress to force her anti-vegan stance on us. The conversasion erupted into an argument and then the food arrived.

I was so upset and offended by this opinionated woman forcing her views on us, I was actually shaking and I was in no state to eat the food. I refused the food and I let the manager know what happened. We left disgusted and offended.

I hope that Spinster Sisters will make it less of a battle for a person to come in and order plant-based foods and I hope the management will realize that their Wendy turns bad fast and is quick to offend. I have NEVER been so offended by a server. Our night was ruined.

We got out of little Geyserville to enjoy Spinster Sisters and it couldn't have been any better. Sunny morning with the neighborhood hanging out enjoying the space and fabulous food served quick and h...ot! Granola Waffles was exactly what I wanted, our 15 y old ordered Bagel and Lox and is still describing how good it was. Thank you so much, our people will be back again and again! See More

I can't even begin to describe the food. Everything you could imagine, just elevated about 5 notches. The best breakfast and coffee I have ever had. Fruit cup above and beyond traditional. Take your f...avorites and throw them over the moon- this place is just that good! Spanakopita and Benedict were made with passion and purpose. See More

I really love Spinsters Sisters and have been here a half dozen times but today was such a disaster I don't think I will be back. It's a shame because this was usually a regular spot when in santa ros...a.

We walked in and got seated fairly quickly even though it was fairly busy. Loud table of children and babies next to us but that's fine given how busy it was.

We sat and were never given menus. Waited for 10 minutes before telling the host that nobody had yet brought us menus or brought by coffee or water like they usually do as soon as we sit. The tables around us were getting served quickly but we felt as if a cloak of invisibility was covering both of us. My hunch is that our table was on the border of two server sections and neither server thought we were their table but I hoped telling the host that we were being ignored would clear that up.

The host himself went and fetched coffee and menus for us after waiting 15 minutes at this point. We picked out what we wanted and waited to maybe see who our server might be someday.

Shortly after a new group was seated directly next to us. They got their menus and water as they sat. Less than 5 minutes after seating the server came to take their order. We had waited over 25 minutes at this point and still had no idea who our server was but the table next to was ordering.

Believing she must be our server I interjected with the server as she was trying to take that table's order that we had been waiting to give our order for nearly half an hour. She apologized and said she had no idea who our server was but she would have served us if we were her table. Worst excuse ever. At that point we got up and left. Never again.

I enjoyed my breakfast, i had the eggs benedict, some grilled peppers, and a mimosa. my gripe is the price compared to portion. The benedict was great with perfectly prepared eggs, but I could've eate...n the dish twice over and still have room for more. maybe some breakfast potatoes would help complete the dish. also the peppers were cooked to my liking, still a bit raw. the mimosa was 10$ which is really hard to shell out for some standard Korbel and not even fresh squeezed OJ. Also there is no mention of Gluten Free bread substitutes even tho they do have them.

Howards (my favorite breakfast joint) in occidental has a Crab eggs benedict for 12$ that is delicious and filling, maybe not farm to table but on point nonetheless. Their mimosa is 7$ and is made with fresh squeeze. yum.

Id definitely go back to Spinsters on another brunch outing with friends, but id reluctantly be emptying out my wallet to be fully satisfied with my first meal of the day.

I was just driving by, glad I stopped in. The atmosphere was great, service excellent, food was remarkable. Little pricey, but worth it as all ingredients were fresh. I had the biscuits and gravy an...d the bacon was so yummy! I looked at their dinner menu and seen some things I must try, I will return some evening to see how it is for dinner. I love the eating at the bar type seating, as it's a moment to be able to connect with other customers. Thank you Spinster Sisters for a great experience. See More

First time there. Looked at posted menu and decided to try it. Sat at counter and ordered coffee. They handed us a "brunch" menu, which is not the same as the "breakfast" menu posted in the window. We... had not even sipped the gasoline-smelling coffee. I politely told her we changed our mind since the brunch menu was not what enticed us. I offered to pay for the 4oz tea-cup sized coffee as a gesture and was handed a bill for $6.57.
I will never go back. As a gesture, she should have waived the coffee charge... But I guess $6 was more important than a returning customer.
