Excited to have a little something at home so I can incorporate some barbell work into my Sunday cardio. Finished up with some form work. Definitely have a lot of work to do, but it actually looked a little better than it felt which is encouraging.
Cardio was a short one, 2 rounds of:
~400m run
30 pullups
~400m run
10 power cleans
10 hang clean and press

First set of what was supposed to be a 3x8...probably got a little overzealous, but at least felt solid throughout all 3 sets (7 on set one was most I hit, even when I go heavy I keep 60 sec intervals so if I miss reps on first set it’s typically downhill after that 😬)

Steve Moriarty shared a fundraiser.
Just a couple more days until the Second Annual Got Grit Charity Challenge! Come out to Rotary Hill this weekend to support a great cause! The event will start at 10am.
It is almost time for the 2nd Annual Got Grit? Charity Challenge! This year, the event will be held once again ...at Rotary Hill in downtown Naperville and we are excited to have even more competitors and vendors getting involved! For anyone looking to participate in the event, the minimum donation for competitors is $50. For anyone else who plans to be stopping by or just wants to support the cause, feel free to contribute whatever you can!
Thank you to everyone for the support last year (we raised almost $1500!) and we are looking forward to an even bigger and better event this year!
It is the mission of Little Friends to empower children and adults with special challenges to live, learn, work and participate in the community. Since 1965, Little Friends has been dedicated to serving people with disabilities in our community. We are a local organization--based in Naperville, Illinois and serving families from throughout six counties in the western suburbs. But our influence extends far beyond the Chicago area. More than 50 school districts turn to us for assistance with some of their most challenging students. Families from all over Illinois attend our training for parents of children with autism. National conferences feature our staff as speakers. It is an honor for us to be able to share what we've learned with other professionals and families. Continue Reading
