Finally a dynamic duo on guitar for the band!!!!!!!
So John and I have an announcement that you might like to hear New Gotham City......everyone say hi to Michael. Michael slays at the guitar and right now Michae...l is going to slay the classic Wicken tune "Crown of Suffering." He plays extremely well and keeps me on my toes as a guitarist. We have a slight work history and it has made things very smooth bringing him into the mix. Enjoy!!!!
Ssooooo Edward sacrificed a monkey......k......well at least something got done.....we guess.....we're gunna have to talk to him about all of that.
Quick Update on things Wicken Laboratories:
Yyyyeeeeahhhh its getting to be about that time John. I got the machine fired up late yesterday and started running ...the typical diagnostics. Ive got some really puzzling irregularities in a couple of spots but nothing I cant fix. I got the power amp and the other new amp that Curtis gave me both in place. I also got power tubes ordered because it cooked another expensive ass Tung-Sol 6L6-G large coke bottle tube. They sounded absolutely incredible on the first album but at $54 each (and it takes 4 of them) the organization has to find another solution because they just dont last very long at all. I also sacrificed a monkey and made use of a Ouija board which made making the sacrifice extra fun but that's another story for another time.
We're gunna have to check in with these guys. We haven't heard anything from them in quite some time. We need our status report!!!!
Looks like everything is being handled very nicely.
The drum parts for "Inbred" have been recorded. 4 down, 2 to go. Up next is "Entertainer."
String parts for the album are being finalized at this point. A plan of attack for the electric bass parts has been discussed and chosen.
The album Sinister nears completion every day.
You know what? If you listen really carefully its really not all that bad. Considering the reality that it was Edward's first go at drum tracking we may just take it or we may just tell him he needs to redo it and make it better.
My first final drum take of my life. Here's a clip of the intro for Sinister Part 3. It did in fact take quite a bit of effort to get this recorded but it is po...ssible for me to do this and that New Gotham City is what counts!!!! John I don't think we have much to worry about. Thank you Jordan for not killing me today on my first session.
It's been a solid minute since we've heard anything substantial from the guys. We're glad to see things are continuing to move forward.
The general guitar tracking for "Inbred" has been completed. Up next is "Sinister Part 3." Only two more left to nail generals to then it's drum time. Seriously... excited for this to all take place. John Rodriguez and I know it has taken an unreasonable amount of time to do all of this. But one thing is for sure we wholeheartedly appreciate all of you who have stuck with us and supported amidst all of the set backs and changes.
Well we are happy to see that Edward has returned to his workstation and is diligently trying to recover the lost time on his tasks. However, we would argue about the latter part of his post.
There's really only one way to say this folks..........Fucking Awesome!!!!
New Gotham City I had an absolutely ENORMOUS and lengthy conversation with Jordan Westfall today regarding practically every detail of the second Wicken album S...inister!!! One of the primary details was deciding to go ahead and re-track all of bass guitar and drum parts done on Parts 2 and 3 of the title track for the album for legal purposes and because the parts lack a sort of organic flow that John and I are looking for. There's a literal ton of work ahead for all of us involved but if it takes us just a little bit longer to really DO THIS then so be it because in the end it's about having smiles on all of our faces. Happy Haunting!!!!
