You can follow me personally on twitter at William underscore gaston and follow the link liberty on facebook, twitter or whatever your favorite social media outlet is give us a follow and a like for updates on new episodes and more so last episode. We talked about the importance of the first than that this first line of defense of protection against government tyranny against the individual, but if the first amendment Is the first line of defense, then the second amendment is the last line of defense. Now the second amendment States a well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state. The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed now we can go over all of the different counter arguments considering the second amendment know the militia clause does not limited to membership in any Organization per heller vs scotus decision in two thousand eight yes the founding fathers could and did see where technology was going there were semi automatic Weapons are at least as we refer to them today. Hundreds of years before the founding fathers were even around no, they are 15 is not a weapon of war. It is literally never been used in one. Yes, we do have the right to carry in public for the recent ninth Circuit court of appeals decision no, there is no such thing as a gun show or Internet loophole. Yes, the us military can be defeated with small arms, such as the 15 look at Vietnam, Afghanistan or Iraq. Now we could go go wrong All of those but instead I wanna go a little bit deeper here. So why do we have the second amendment in the first place, here's, a hint it's not about guns. It isn't this is about a person's right to self defense. Against any threats to their person. So take guns is an item off the table. If you're attacked in the parking lot of your school or work or someone breaks into your House, do you have the right to defend yourself against the attacker or are you supposed to just Let him do whatever it is. They wanna do to you to your person or to your property know your natural right is to have the ability to defend yourself without fear of legal repercussions. It doesn't matter what tool you use to accomplish. That goal. So back in the stone age. It was probably a rock in the Middle ages or the renaissance period. It was a dagger or sword only after that did it become the gun. So if you're leaving your cave or your heart, your House, whatever and your accosted by somebody else, that has a Weapon of some sort who is the state to tell you that you can't have the same capability to defend yourself as what your attacker is using to attack. You or something even better than what they're using the fact of the matter is that that is the actual reason behind the existence of the second amendment to protect your ability to defend yourself now the founders simply used the general term arms and referred to firearms and their other writings because it was the most advance Weapon of the time they understood all too well how ironical government could be on the rights of the individual and they saw the importance of protecting the individuals right to maintain the ability to defend themselves, especially against that same government. If it was deemed necessary now, they also understood human nature. They knew that there are some evil people in this world people that will prey on the innocent And the defenseless so what they did was make sure that the people had the ability to defend themselves so they weren't defenseless in the first place. Now, at the end of the day, you don't need a piece of paper to tell you that you have the right to self defense, but what that piece of paper does is reinforces what you already know it's to be a shield between you and it's ironical over reaching government that would take those rights away from you. Nobody has the Right to tell you what you can and can't use to defend yourself, your property and your family don't ever. Let anybody tell you what you do or don't need to defend yourself with, but what do we see happening everyday more people marching pushing for more laws that will tell you what you can and can't use that will restrict your ability to defend yourself and your family we've got twins that haven't even graduated high school yet ranting and using punch lines like they have any idea of what they're talking about and they're being celebrated on National Tv, like there's, some kind of heroes, instead of Ignorant mouthy little children that need to be spanked and sent home sit down to their clearly negligent parents. We also have air head celebrities and scheming politicians. Tugging on emotional heartstrings pandering to anyone that's willing to lend an ear now. The worst part of all of this is we're letting them dictate the direction that wish these laws are going they're driving the narrative, but they're only doing that because of inaction on our part because we sit around and depend on government lobbyists and politicians to defend our individual liberties the time for that is now Now, over the time to take action is now so what can we do. How can we act against this. We act against this by countering the narrative they're, putting a protest together Organization counter protest. They're having a March in the big city but one together yourself, pass out pamphlets, get signatures on petitions make an educational video put. It on social media, talk to people take a friend to a gun range or have them go through the entire process of buying a firearm with you next time you buy one so that they can see that entire process for themselves seize the narrative grab the Microphone demand a seat at the table demand that you have your voice heard, take action. Do something because if we do nothing, we lose everything I hope you'll join us next time and become more liberty. Centered, with us, I'm William gaston, with think-liberty.com
