This is the facebook page specifically for my website, Tim Bishop - songs and stories. You're welcome to drop by anytime for a song 'n' a story.
Two years of working with community on this voluntary project of love, culminates this weekend with the 30th anniversary of First Peoples' entries in the Mardi Gras Parade and the shared history of as many years of participation as the parade is of age - 40. Here's to the history makers of tomorrow, kicking off with this Saturday night's First Nations float, Revolution! (3/3/18) http://www.timbishop.com.au/interactive-history-first-peop…/
Last night marked the third birthday of my website,
Tim Bishop - songs and stories. Launched into the public domain in the moment of the winter solstice, Jun 21, 2014 at 8:50 pm, around a backyard fire. This weekend I hope to mark the occasion with a congratulatory fire. It's been a great journey so far, getting the work up on the site and sharing with audiences worldwide. Meanwhile here's a little track to commemorate the occassion with you. One of my favourites. http://www.timbishop.com.au/i-send-off-the-day/
My first post for the year from my website. Written almost a year ago but six years in the waiting. A short story for your summer reading. 15 minutes of your time, best read in one sitting. A sad but beautiful (dog) story that goes beyond the expected.
Proud that my first production for radio, 'Swim Deep Only in Waters You Know', is getting another run on Radio National this week on Earshot. Mon 11:50am, repeated Sat 8pm and Sunday 1 and 9pm. http://www.abc.net.au/…/swim-deep-only-in-waters-yo…/6584074
A new post to my website: 'Pinjarootoo - All in a morning’s walk'. A two minute mix of images with sound. Enjoy.

A message from my website: I haven't posted here for a while because there hasn't been anything to p(b)ost about! But there are stories in the writing and a couple of songs to start recording soon. They'll be up there when they're done. I'm also facing myself with the question, "To blog or not?" Yet to be decided. All the best to you all. www.timbishop.com.au Comments always welcome!
20 years ago. A very memorable black Christmas. Enjoy.
Hi friends and followers. There's a new post on my website. A selection of live recordings of songs from the production, His Spirit Flies (2002). If you've wanted to hear more of the fabulous voices of Helen Anu and Sam Barsah singing together live with me and a great band - well here you can! Comments and feedback most welcome.
Dear followers of Tim Bishop - songs and stories. The radio broadcast of a precious story from my life, My Man and Me, has been shortlisted as a finalist for an Australian Human Rights Award in the category of Radio. Feeling very at peace about this news. Thank you for supporting me on my journey.
3 months along since launching my website and 3,000 views. Pretty pleased with that. Thanks for all the support and feedback. Valued. www.timbishop.com.au

"What have I been up to?" facebook asks. A: Building a website from the starting point of no idea of how to do so, collecting my life together for the last six months and depriving myself of much sleep. All well worth it. Welcome everybody to Tim Bishop - songs and stories. I look forward to sharing more with you.
