We stayed here for our anniversary and we were beyond satisfied with everything. The staff was friendly, accommodating and really went above and beyond to make us feel special and appreciated. I lov...e this place. It holds a special spot in my heart and I was so glad I finally got to stay. The room was cozy, food was delicious and service was impeccable. The grounds were stunning with the fall colors and nothing beats the beauty of the building itself. Thank you so much for all that you did for us during our stay. See More

Reserved a spot in their haunted tour and dinner. I have to give this an absolute best review. The chicken fried bison was fabulous. The tour was delightful and full of historical data. The owners rea...lly made it quaint and divided up into smaller manageable groups. Great idea so it wasn't hard to hear or keep up. I look forward to attending more events as they add. See More

Absolutely loved our stay there! The room was cozy and roomy at the same time. Jetted tub was relaxing and worked great. Enjoyed moon and star gazing on the deck. The staff was amazing. I can't tha...nk them enough for making our anniversary dinner perfect from the table setting to food. Hands down the best ribeye i have ever had. The filet mignon was perfect as well. So thankful for the great staff. They truly made this an anniversary to remember. Will be going back for the Haunted tour next and the occasional lunch. See More

Absolutely phenominal service and food from the general manager that was there. She was super polite and waited on us as my family relived their youth. The elk tips were great. My favorite would defin...ately be the country fried bison. See More

I was driving from Portales to Alamogordo, and saw this location snuggled into the beautiful landscape of the Hondo Valley. On the way back, I made the decision to stop and check the gift shop out. ...After collecting some gifts, I made the decision to return with more of my family for a meal when I had more time. I am so grateful that I did!

For the food, you should be aware that meals are only served from Friday to Sunday. The website and Facebook are both good for advertising times. The Sunday lunch was buffet-style, with a nice country-feel to it. There were biscuits and corn-bread muffins for bread, mashed potatoes for a starch, a roast and homemade chicken pot pie for protein, a west coast vegetable medley, and two types of pies and a cake out for dessert. We arrived right at noon when the food was put out, and it was obviously very fresh. The service was very personal, with the server asking my daughter's name and remembering it throughout the service, which was a nice touch. Our glasses never ran empty.

The gift store featured a host of different items from jams and teas, to clothes, to country-style trinkets and jewelry. There was also homemade cotton candy, chocolates, and truffles. Again, the service was very personal, as the register worker remembered me from weeks prior when I drove through.

There was a private area inside for parties, and the outside porch features an open area which would be a perfect area for a wedding reception. There were chairs stacked securely, and they advertise the capability for weddings, so I assume that this happens routinely. If not, it should...the view of the mountains from the back porch was nice, and the back area also featured a fountain and landscaped area. It was obvious to me that the owners had worked hard to carve a beautiful oasis out of a sometimes harsh New Mexico environment.

Overall, I strongly suggest that anyone passing by should stop and visit this establishment. It will become a regular stop for me anytime I am driving across New Mexico on Highway 70.

We stopped here on our drive through New Mexico. Great place! There is a store, a restaurant and some guest rooms. I decided to eat lunch and my husband decided to have a piece of cake. I had the t...urkey and grilled peaches salad. It was very good. I also trieda bite of my husband's dessert, pumpkin spice cake. It was delicious, light, fluffy and moist. The two ladies who own it were delightful and attentive. If you live in the area or are traveling through Tinnie, NM you should definitely stop. As their sign says they have clean bathrooms, too! I spent all my summers in Tinnie as a kid and young man. My Grandparents Ranch is a mile or so up the road towards Roswell. The Silver Dollar Saloon was the Post office and it had a little general sto...re in it too. The postmaster was a man named Mr. Clements. So many memories. I just visited the place a few days ago. So happy to see it getting fixed up and starting to thrive again. I bought a Tinnie T shirt. So cool! See More

This is little stop in the heart of the Hondo Valley holds a special place in my heart. For years we made it a scheduled stop on our trips to Ruidoso. But it had closed the last time I came through. Y...ou can imagine my excitement when I discovered that it had been reopened. The new owners have done a fabulous job with the store and the quaint little cafe that serves their version of an amazing
mouthwatering green chili stew, delicious crepes, and Texas Sheet among other delights! I personally love the linen tablecloths and napkins. Listening to KLOVE is a big plus for me, as well. I wish these precious people the best with their new endeavor and will pray for their continued success! I encourage all that read this post to stop and enjoy this little jewel!

After searching for some of the best places to eat around Ruidoso we found excellent reviews for Tinnie so we knew we had to check it out. We were definitely not disappointed. The filet was like butte...r in my mouth. The green chile hominy was an explosion of flavor to our tastebuds. The green chile chicken Alfredo was creamy, spicy and perfect in all of its married flavors! Topped our meal off with the Creme Brûlée which was exquisitely presented and just the right amount of sweet. Our waitress Bernadette was bubbly and friendly and we really enjoyed her service! She encouraged us to take a stroll through the garden which was tranquil and picturesque in its historic glory where we go to meet the GM and chef who was more than delighted to take us on a tour of the kitchen and explain some of the historical background. All in all this was a fantastic trip! Don't pass this gem up!! You won't regret it! Thanks for having us Tinnies! See More
