In our short visit we got to try a few very good restaurants (in order of satisfaction): El Cazador (Mexican), Pinos Italian and Bull Daddy

During the past three months, while MaryThompson, 79, stayed with family, the house had been transformed completely with a new roof, siding, a handicap-accessible bathroom, freshly buffed floors, new cabinets and central air conditioning and heating.

APPOMATTOX — When Mary Thompson rolled her powered wheelchair up the ramp and into the house she has lived in for the past 40 years, she barely recognized it.

Courtland Field located in Appomattox, VA is now under construction. This small park featuring an amphitheater, gazebo, pavilions, and a love sign will be a great place for festivals, events, farmers markets, and more. Construction pics to follow!

Please note that Republic Services will be observing Memorial Day, Monday May 29th, and running one day behind on trash collection for next week.
Trash pick-up for the Town of Appomattox will be on Wednesday May 31st. Have a safe holiday weekend!

Courtland Field Conceptual Plan

This plan will be presented to a joint meeting of the Appomattox County Board of Supervisors and the Appomattox Town Council on ...Thursday night, March 9th at 6:30 PM.

The meeting will be held at the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room at 171 Price Lane (CVCC-Carver Price), Appomattox. The public will be allowed to ask questions and comment on the proposal after the presentation. Please come and participate.
