It’s time for Show & Tell!

Today we buried the body of Scooter, our pet Madagasgar Hissing Cockroach. This little fellow insisted that we, “take a picture so we can remember her.”

Tuckahoe School’s current and former students and staff, along with their family and friends, are invited to stop by the school to walk the halls and reminisce together as the school prepares to close after over 35 years of serving our community.

A lovely day for a picnic at school.

The grass was just high enough to make it tricky to find those eggs. Smiles were EASY to spot!

One of our former Tuckahoe School students dropped by for a visit just before our Spring Break. Sara attended Tuckahoe during the 1990s. She lives in Georgia now, but came by to say, “Hello” while she was in the area for work. Sara found a favorite book from her childhood in our library.

One of our senior neighbors brought by some of her quilt projects for us to see. She taught us about the various parts of a quilt “sandwich” and helped us notice the patterns and colors in her quilts. Later, the blue team got to use a variety of fabrics to design their own quilt squares, which Mrs. W is going to sew together and quilt for us!

A great evening at Nelson County’s Christmas parade. Thank you to all our parent volunteers and the polar bears, reindeer, and snowflakes who helped spread some holiday cheer.
