New Single: "You Will Fear What You Love Most"
The Band have wrapped tracking on a few new jams this week. Now begins the mixing phase. We set out to make some ambitiously loud & creepy rock music in the confines of a small bedroom studio. It has proven to be a challenge, and the challenge is very much part of the experience.
Rather than waiting until the entire project is complete, this small collection of tunes will be shared as each is finished. Over the next few months these songs will be digitally released as singles that make up a new EP. The process is still in motion, and material is continually coming into and out of focus of what will make the final cut.
We don't know ourselves, and that is part of the fun.
Check out Tyler & Chris of In The Presence of Wolves starring in this commercial for Ibanez Guitars. The advertisement features silliness and the new Tubescreamer Mini. It was shot & edited by the very talented Ryan Beacher of Squareware Studios.
Wondering How We Made A Tube Screamer That Small? While it may seem that coming up with a compact version of the renowned Tube Screamer pedal would involve a lo...t of re-designing and re-engineering, it was easier than you'd think…it just took a little time to figure out.
If you were to walk through the suburbs of Haddon Heights, New Jersey any recent night of the week, you may of heard Tyler and his group rehearsing in a small bedroom during the cold months of winter.
Tyler & The Band have been hard at work doing pre-production for a new yet to be titled EP. During the demo process the band decided to track the majority of the record live, in hopes of catching a raw 60's garage rock vibe. This collection of songs aims to be a loose and dark e...xploration of the human subconscious during a time of confusion.
"I was spending a few months in my home studio trying to stumble upon a string of songs that made sense sonically as well as thematically", Tyler says. "I had written a bunch and had booked some studio time without having the majority of the lyrics finished. Most of the words I had put together weren't particularly cohesive, which I soon realized was the only cohesive element of the project. For whatever reason I was recently drawn to gaining knowledge on the Salem Witch Trials. I started to see parallels in the history of the trials and the themes I was writing about. Between reading up on the downright disturbing content and purchasing a creaky old organ, the words and tone of the music started to make sense."
The band enters the studio to begin work on the forthcoming EP this week.
Writing has begun for a bunch of fresh jams. The music will feature a new backing band, including collaborations from multiple talented artists & band members. Stay updated on the creative process at
"Lover The Fifth" Rereleased This Week.
Tyler wrote & recorded "Lover The Fifth" with his band in various garages & basements during 2014. Influenced by various elements of garage rock with progressive/post-rock instrumentals and abrasive repetitious melodies....
The song was mixed and mastered by Gregory Dunn of Moving Mountains.
I'll Write You an Opus, You Illuminate My Soul is now available on
Tyler and his band wrote and released "I'll Write You an Opus, You Illuminate My Soul" in the Summer of 2013. Recorded at The Gradwell House. The video was shot and directed by Ryan Beacher of Squareware Studios. Filming took place in South Jersey & Point Pleasant Beach. The track will be rereleased under Tyler's solo catalogue in the coming weeks.
Before moving onto any brand new releases, let's take a walk down memory lane. During the first month of 2015, we'll be rereleasing two singles from Tyler's previous band efforts. Each track will be remastered from the original studio recordings and be available on Spotify & iTunes.
