Tyndale recently started a Bachelor in Biology program, and I am not enjoying it. I am only commenting on the Biology program and facilities in this review. There are many factors in my decision to no...t recommend Tyndale for Biology, and here they are:

Tyndale is a great university in terms of quality of professors, class sizes, and Christian community, but some aspects are lacking greatly. The events are okay, but they are few and far between, with very moderate student involvement. The facilities consist of a gymnasium which is only openly available about 0-6 hours a day (not owned by the university), a gym (weights, workout), only one food/snack provider (ILC Canada), two libraries, one ping pong table, one pool table, two computer labs, and a student commons area. That's pretty much it - and It's all in one building.

The main issues are:
Warm food is only available until 8:30pm and is intermittently served (food is only available at certain times, and is otherwise closed) and the food quality is not very good. There's a lack of basic facilities which are standard at most universities such as recreation areas, designated study rooms, sports fields or sports areas, and showers/changerooms (only two showers/changerooms for the entire campus). There's a lack of resources and equipment for non-Biblical courses, such as Biology - there are many labs we cannot do because we do not have a lab. The university explained that it shouldn't spend money on such a small program, but apparently, they do not realize that a program cannot grow if it lacks basic resources! Most labs are purely theoretical and have no benefit to hands-on skills, and I do not feel prepared for a career. The online access to science resources is very limited and I cannot access many articles that are accessible to other university students. I'd like to go on, but I decided to focus on the major aspects. There are no internship opportunities for Biology students, and the professors have rarely been able to recommend research opportunities.

This is why I cannot recommend this university to Biology students. Please do not come unless they change their business model for the Biology program and decide to spend some money to improve it. I may change the review by the end of the year if they make any significant changes to infrastructure or facilities.

The professors at this school do more than just regurgitate information from a textbook. They integrate it with faith, and teach with passion. Many of them provide some lived experience in specific di...sciplines to help us learn practical application of theoretical principles. No place I would've rather done my undergrad! #Classof2018 See More

I hated my experience at Tyndale. I have huge regrets about going here. Invest in a school with a better reputation. It’s not worth the price they ask you to pay.

Such an incredIble academic institution with small classes and professors that take the time to know the student. Community is one of the highest values regarded by the faculty and students and also h...uge acreage of open green space! See More

Yelling and screaming at someone for no apparent reason, does not show the nature of Christ. HR did bugger all to help my friend who was being verbally abused by his coworker.

As a recent graduate from Tyndale and now a Master's student at Western University, I can say that Tyndale is an exceptional university. My professors were not only reputable scholars but amazing teac...hers and Christians. They challenged me to improve my skills, to think critically, and to understand what I believe. They supported me spiritually, emotionally, and academically. Consequently, they prepared me both for graduate school and life. I am thankful that I had the opportunity to study under these amazing men and women who demonstrated the life I want to lead. In my opinion, they are the best professors one could ever have. See More

Love Tyndale!
Continues to be on the leading edge of culture, thought and theology. I deeply valued my five undergraduate years (Honours in History), and I am very excited to do the In-Ministry MDiv ...starting in the Summer '14.
Now, in this season, the greatest encouragement I find there is the new emphasis on local & global community development and collaboration.
Love Tyndale.

Outside of the price of tuition, Tyndale is a great school, with good professors and even better students to make your acquaintance.
