So this happened...the local journo visited my beginners group yesterday and interviewed some of the students and took lots of photos. Then she asked if we could play a song and she would go LIVE to the local paper FB site. I asked the students and they all agreed, so we went into one of their first songs, The Beat Goes On by Sonny Bono and they nailed it! I now look forward to the story in the paper next Wednesday.
Vance is leading the way across the globe with his wonderful ukulele songs.
What I'm playing today (and if any of my Outlaw cohorts are reading I'm not really playing this, I'm too busy rehearsing the new songs )
Here's a little bit of Blues for your Tuesday viewing and listening pleasure. Gotta love Tommy and Brittni together.
Some people just have rhythm dripping from their pores.
The other afternoon, a woman contacted a radio station in Sydney to complain about her children's school having a ukulele group. She was very anti ukulele and wasn't at all pleased about this dreadful instrument being introduced to her children. It hasn't sat well with me. Why is there such animosity toward this instrument? Why???? It is the most amazing tool to teach music and it brings a lot of joy to many people. What's not to love?
And the winner is ... Do you know Robert?
