I'm sure this is a perfectly standard learning experience for college aged learners, but as an adult learner - beware and run far away! Find another, more suitable pathway to achieve your academic go...als. The administrative policies and some faculty are so lost in their internal processes they assign no human touch to the experience. Its a shame and a sad indication of the way UNCG views its customers. See More

I went to WC in 1955. I took a one year Commercial Course. I don’t think that is offered anymore. I lived in Kirkland dorm. It was an all girls school at that time, but plenty of boys were there on... the weekends. See More

I attended UNCG for my Masters of Library and Information Studies from 2012 to 2015. I enjoyed the majority of my classes and thought that the professors and instructors were well-versed in their res...pective areas, largely doing a great job in helping me to better understand the content and preparing me for work in my career as a librarian and archivist. I am deeply indebted to some of my professors for the interest, inspiration, and special attention that they showed me.

I do have to point out that the reason why I have scored the university so low for this review. Sadly, I must discuss the utter failings of the Graduate School. After taking the GRE and submitting my scores, I waited for 6 weeks and had not heard a Yay or Nay on being accepted. My letters of recommendation, GRE scores, and undergraduate transcript were perfectly suited to the range needed so I had no qualms about being accepted into my program. Apparently, both of the IT support staff quit in the same week and my GRE scores were never pushed through to be reviewed. To make a long story short, I ended up having to make 3 separate in-person trips to the Graduate School office to get all the i's dotted and t's crossed. Even then, the Graduate School failed to notify my program of my acceptance forcing me to make yet another in-person trip to the department in order to set up my class schedule. Time after time, the folks at the Graduate School would completely drop the ball making various aspects of my graduate school experience an unnecessary and complicated hassle. Had it not been for the Graduate School office, this review would probably be 4 Stars instead of 3.

I am a graduate of UNCG. When I attended I felt like the professors cared about my future and helped through my struggles along the way. Now that my daughter is preparing to attend in the Fall, I am v...ery much at ease knowing she will be there. I feel the staff did an awesome job at SOAR orientation. My daughter was pumped and is ready to go, after attending the orientation. I've been to many college orientations and I especially appreciate how UNCG prepares the students to look out for each other! They have special programs in place to emphasis the importance of this and I am very thankful! See More

UNCG has been my home for my RN to BSN, my Masters to become a Nurse Practitioner, and for my DNP starting in August. I am a proud UNCG student. The professors are by far some of the best you will e...ver have. They care about your success and push you to do your best. The offices all have incredible staff from registration to financial aid. You could not ask for a better university!! See More

Attended Destination UNCG on 4/8/17 with my daughter and husband. What great school spirit! Every staff or faculty member and student guide were happy, friendly and so helpful. Shout out to Shiann a...nd Stephanie at Reynolds and Keon at Guilford who not only showed us the residence hall tour of each building but provided us with thorough information about student life in the dorms. Great job and thank you again! I'm more at ease now that my daughter will be attending this great school! See More

Outstanding tour of the campus yesterday.

The student tour guides were a direct reflection of UNCG's tradition, class and example for all Americans to see. ...

The facilities were impeccable and the student cafeteria....better than some food courts at the best malls!

And a shout out the out tour guide, can't Remember his name but he said, "I love to eat" he was outstanding and good luck on completing his Nursing degree.

Glad to be a Spartan dad.

We just attended our daughter's graduation from UNCG! What a wonderful day! She had an excellent four years! She completed the Ashby Residential College program which was an important component of her... success. As a member of Alphi Chi Omega sorority she was involved in the philanthropy of helping bring awareness to women's issues from battered women, date rape, and other ways women are marginalized. She made lifelong friendships, enjoyed a comprehensive liberal arts education, and became a confident and mature young woman! I am impressed by the breadth of opportunities for students, the diversity of the student body, and the faculty, who are engaged and committed. My daughter follows in a family tradition in which my Mother, Aunt, Sister, and other family members have graduated from UNCG! I am proud of her achievements and I highly recommend UNCG as a University that is making a difference in the lives of it's students and the world!! See More

My parents and I went here for Spring Break to look at your Beyond Academics program. I was not impressed with the program and the way it was designed. The only strong part is that there is no age lim...it, but that doesn't really matter. After my parents and I finished the visit, I had a mental breakdown on the way back to Candler. I am never ever setting foot here ever again, and to those who have autism like me and are looking for a college disability program, don't even look here. At least my tour guides were nice, but they alone could not save me. See More

As a parent of a current Spartan, I am impressed with the campus-my only peeve is the fast and unsafe driving on campus especially around the dorms and pedestrians. So far, overall, not a bad experien...ce when I visit otherwise. See More
