I met, sang a few songs for and briefly chatted with this lovely lass only to realise later she was kinda famous and if I didnt live under a rock should probably have known who she was (I did the exact same thing with Natalie Portman at a gig last year!). But its kinda nicer that way anyway - had I known I'd have probably stuttered like a sycophantic idiotic. She seemed really nice, down to earth and enjoying Woodford and all i it had to offer...
Amanda Palmer and Uptown Brown sharing a moment at the 2019/20 festival. We have a lot of love for both of these incredible performers.

Woodford Festival has pledged to donate a dollar to 'Busk for the Bush' for each time this clip is shared. I always have the time of my life at Woodford each year - the vibe, the audiences, the general super-good heartedness- but the combined effects of fire and drought on this country is something everyone there was feeling. The loss of life, homes, wilderness and peoples livelihoods is just heartbreaking. Anyway, here's a heartfelt (and slightly under-rehearsed!) version of Johnny Cash's 'Fulsom Prison Blues' played on my brand new Duke (double necked uke) built by the marvellous Tim Kill. Also the debut of my 'Hill Country Stampede' outfit, featuring a beautiful 30's Stetson replica made by Adelaide hatter Blake Canham-Bennett.

Festival favourite, one-man-band extraordinaire, Uptown Brown has a special performance for your. Thank you, Mr Brown, for getting involved in our Busk for the …Bush initiative.
In an effort to raise $30,000 for rural families battling the drought, we are bringing our performers to you from the streets of Woodfordia, and for each of the first 10,000 shares of our #buskforthebush videos, we will donate $1 to the QCWA's Public Crisis Fund, 10% of which goes directly towards helping rural communities.
Please support us by commenting, liking and sharing Busk for the Bush with your friends and family - let’s spread love and music far and wide.
