Symposium: The Vietnam War Revisited (part 3)

In collaboration with the Assembly for Democracy in Vietnam, we present a one-day symposium exploring the Vietnam War from the Vietnamese perspective. The symposium will be divided into three segments: Engagement in the War, Aftermath of the War, and Post-War: Perspectives of Younger Generations. Scheduled speakers include Dr. Pierre Asselin (Hanoiʹs Road to the Vietnam War); Rufus Phillips (Why Vietnam Matters); Ambassador Bùi Diễm, Former Ambassador of South Vietnam to the United States; Dr. Tạ Văn Tài, Former Lecturer and Research Associate, Harvard Law School; and Dr. Kieu‑Linh Valverde (Transnationalizing Vietnam: Community, Culture and Politics in the Diaspora).
