First year Architecture & Design students filled the Seaport/Tamar River with a beautiful illuminated event.
The students designed and constructed large lanterns from bamboo and paper to be floated with tea lights.
The night was windy and cold which proved to be a challenge but didn't dampen the excitement from all involved (even though some lanterns couldn't withstand the wind!)....
Well done to all the students and staff who presented such a wonderful evening.
Here is a video by Rhys Tanton of some of the highlights from the night: https://youtu.be/sMw7N5pfwIw
The Lab is offering $1000 to a young designer or design student.
We anticipate this collaborative community project will provide an opportunity, not only for a... young artist/designer, but also for start-ups, young entrepreneurs, students and researchers to work along-side our innovation team.
This gig is to design a space that will enable creative, collaborative ideas and projects.
If you want a shot at this $1000, contact us via Messenger, email firstname.lastname@example.org or give me a call (Jocelyn) on 0484 137 362. Expressions of interest will be taken until May 2nd.
