Westminster Inspires: Meg Dyos – The Spirit of Rowing
This autumn, join us to hear alumna Meg Dyos’s amazing story of joining the first all-female Coxless Crew ...for the final leg of their world record-breaking journey across the Pacific Ocean. The Coxless Crew rowed from America to Australia in 257 days, a journey of 8,446 miles, in a 29-foot boat named Doris.
Meg (English Literature, 2014) will regale the highs and lows of the trip; from wildlife spotting and enjoying ocean sunrises and sunsets, to enduring sun burn and surviving on 5,000 calories of freeze dried food a day. She will also explain why the crew did all of this to support women that have had to face diversity and overcome life changing events.
