I was denied entry into Greece (the official paper was provided, my passport was taken away). Together with other passengers of Wizzair and Ryanair flights, I was placed in an institution, which can be referred to as a temporary dormitory to stay at while we are waiting for our flight back to Ukraine.

The flight back is scheduled for Tuesday, Jul 7, so quite a long time to wait.

As of now, there are 15 adults and 2 children locked in a place, which appeared to look rather like a prison.
The room is designed for 16 people.
Everything is very dirty, inch-long cockroaches.
No proper air conditioning, +32 C outside.
No food is provided.
No bedding, no mattresses, no pillows, just bare boards.
No soap, no toilet paper in the bathroom.
No proper access to our belongings, our baggage left in the airport.

We contacted the Ukrainian consul in Greece. Meeting minutes:
1. these conditions are the best solution that can be offered
2. we propose that we buy new tickets for earlier flights to other countries, which allow Ukrainians to enter, but the consul has declined this option, because allegedly it is not possible to depart to destination other than UA.
3. We propose that we pay for a hotel to wait for our flight back - the option is not available as well

Interestingly, we had 2 young Americans in the room.
According to them, they arrived on 04.07 at around 4 p.m. from the US, and have just left to take their plane to Canada (the issue was resolved in less than 24 hrs).
So technically it IS possible to arrive from one country and “return” to another.

I believe, publicity is the only way for us to get out earlier.
