One year ago, President Trump signed the Caesar Act into law to hold Bashar al-Assad and his regime accountable for the atrocities they have carried out in Syria. Since then, we've sanctioned over 90 of Assad's enablers for perpetuating a needless, brutal war.
We will continue these sanctions until the Syrian regime ends its campaign of violence against the Syrian people and until Damascus takes irreversible steps toward a political solution in line with UNSCR 2254, the only ...viable path to a stable future for all Syrians.
قبل عام، وقع الرئيس ترامب على مشروع قانون قيصر ليصبح قانونًا لمحاسبة بشار الأسد ونظامه على الفظائع التي ارتكبوها في سوريا، ومنذ ذلك الحين، فرضنا عقوبات على أكثر من 90 شخص وكيان لدعمهم نظام الأسد في إدامة حرب وحشية لا داعي لها.
سنواصل فرض هذه العقوبات حتى ينهي النظام السوري حملته العنيفة ضد الشعب السوري وحتى تتخذ دمشق خطوات لا رجعة فيها نحو حل سياسي يتماشى مع قرار مجلس الأمن رقم 2254 الذي يمثل المسار الوحيد الناجع لتحقيق مستقبل مستقر لكل السوريين.
