Get them in the game- let’s help reduce financial barriers! Calling on club members and supporters! We are collecting gently used rugby shorts, socks and cleats that are no longer of use to you, to redistribute them to high school players that could use them.
Let’s be real- there’s no point in keeping the shorts you wore in high school, because you probably don’t fit into them anymore.

Message us for details to donate or if you are a coach who has players that cannot afford basic equipment.

Keltics U20 player of the year nominations:

Rugby Nova Scotia awards Banquet Saturday March 3rd

Sam Lake Pictou County RFC/ Valley Bulldogs Rugby Football Club - Sam has been a consistent fixture with the Nova Scotia Keltics since her U18 days. Her continued development as a player and leader on the field has instrumental to the U20 Keltic's success for the past two years. Her out-standing performance at the U20 Eastern Canadian Championship made her an easy call up to the Senior Women's squad at Nationals.

Amelia Hatfield Tars Rfc/Pictou County Rfc- It was great to have Amelia back in a Keltic's jersey. As a dynamic tight-5 player, Amelia was a driving force for our offense. Her ferocity in the breakdown was matched only by her ability to destroy defenders when she had ball in hand.

Alex Ondo Ottawa Irish Rugby Club- A natural finisher, Ondo was a power house on the wing. After completing her first year on a varsity team, Ondo arrived back home with a mindset to take her game to the next level. She proved to be a defensive threat as well by completing tackles and poaching ball, creating scoring opportunities for herself and the team.

Alysha Corrigan CRFC - A native of PEI, this spud was a welcome addition to the Keltic's U20 team. With a natural field sense, Alysha was able to control our defense from the fullback position. Her hard work in the pre-season proved to be a huge asset, as she was the fittest person on the team allowing for unbelievable try-saving chase downs and offensive line breaks.

Megan Sullivan, Enfield RFC
Megan scored 16 tries in 8 games and was a dominant force for all Enfield games. The ball carrying number 8 and line out operator has been an important part of the club for many years.

Sherry Lake, Halifax Rugby Football Club
Need we explain? Still one of the top players in league and still voted and nominated by man clubs around the province. The centre / fly half proves time and time again just how valuable she is.

Gillian Bergsma, Valley Bulldogs Rugby Football Club,
The fly half’s first instinct is to go forward and attack! An excellent skills set from all across the board but it’s her hard work on and off the field which is truly noticeable.

Gill has been a standout player last season for the Valley. In playing 10, she changes the pace, tempo and quality of the game. Her ability to read the field, the other team is truly unmatched and defensively never missed a tackle. Her intensity is fierce and her game face is always on.

Alysha Corrigan , CRFC

Alysha has a unique ability to find space and read the opportune time to jump in the back line and attack, using great decision making skills. Alysha is pound for pound, one of the best tacklers in the Tier A league. Her ability to not only track/tackle defenders at full back or put in a shift at the post/guard spot is first class and saves countless try’s being scored.

Keltics SW player of the year nominations.

Tanisha Campbell, Pictou County RFC.
Tanisha got back in to Keltics colours with a bang this year as she grabbed th...e back row spot for the senior women’s team, dynamic and conditioned Tanisha work ethic made her one of the most loved players on and off the field.

Gillian Bergsma, Valley Bulldogs Rugby Football Club.
Gillian took another step forward this year and continues to be an attack threat from 10 or centre.
Her impact tackles means that attack try not to run down her channel. Was also captain of the Keltics 7s team who brought home the cup in NYC.

Holly Jones, Charlottetown RFC.

This back-row player was convinced that wing maybe be her calling. Nicked named “Jonah” after the worlds most renowned winger, Jones shares the destructive handoff and leg drive with the New Zealander.

Emma Taylor, Halifax RFC.
Following her season with Irish club Railway Union RFC, Taylor got off the plane and onto the park straight away. Taylor was heavily involved in every game at Nationals. This year we saw a Taylor not only hungry for the ball but hitting huge numbers in breakdowns and enjoying tackling the opposition.
