The Emergency Room was TERRIBLE! They put my infant son’s IV in wrong and took three blood test that... they left out to go bad. They ended up having to redo the IV and retake the three blood tests AND we had to stay an extra day in the hospital to get the results back from those tests. We have made reports and been in contact with Valley Children’s and they will NOT correct our bill. I refuse to pay for blood tests twice, especially when hospital staff messed up the first one. Then the nurse lied to me and said, “I talked to your doctor and you actually don’t need these tests anyway.” When in fact the tests were still very much needed. Once we were admitted, everyone was great and really on top of things, but man that ER is terrible and whoever is in charge of billing is making this process really suck. I’m very disappointed and have already spoken to a lawyer. I really hope to get this resolved soon. See More

Amanda was diagnosed with leukemia in February and is receiving chemotherapy at Valley Children’s. She enjoys swimming, dancing and hopes to open her own bakery when she grows up. We are all so proud of you, Amanda!
