Opinion: The imminent sale of one of Canada’s largest construction companies to the Peoples’ Republic of China should give Premier John Horgan pause. In fact, it should lead him to a smart reversal of his support for the Site C dam, writes Green Party leader Elizabeth May.

Happy Aboriginal Day 🙏

The Green Party of Canada is committed to #Reconciliation and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Calls to Action. In 2016, Green Party of Canada members voted to repudiate the Doctrine of Discovery - the idea that Europeans "discovered" this land, which contains the idea that the land was Terra Nullius, or empty land, and that, therefore, Europeans were entitled to do what they wanted with it.

The Greens are committed to moving Canada forward in honouring its responsibilities, including recognizing and respecting Aboriginal rights and title and repudiating the abominable Doctrine of Discovery.
