It is a good ride, and the route is very nice. I look forward to this ride every year. However, the snacks at the sag stops could be a little bit better. chips and /or crackers and peanut butter sandwiches are good choices for the sag stops especially on the metric century route. The fruit is a good choice, but cookies and sweets aren't always the best fuel for a long hot ride. Salt and protein are also necessary. The second to last stop had bread and peanut butter, but the bread was gone by the time I got there. Overall it is a very good ride. See More

Always well organized. Routes are nicely marked. Rest stops are spaced correctly and in nice locations. People are friendly and the lunch at the end is yummy. It's my favorite ride every year.

Thank you to Steve and all the volunteers for another well run event. One of the best bike rides on the calendar. Can't wait for 2017.

Thanks to everyone who attended this years Vandalia Freedom Tour. It was a great day full of friends and fun with over 675 in attendance and over 50 volunteers. 2017 marked our 22nd year for the Tour as a fund raising event for the Vandalia-Butler Optimist Club. We will continue to add to the VFT 2017 photo album for everyone to enjoy. What a great way to celebrate the freedom we all enjoy in the USA. Thanks again everyone!!!
